The 'Garth' is a bit of an institution - warm welcome from staff and locals, comfy, clean, tidy and with a decent, mainstream, pub menu, cooked and served with care and a bit of pride that reflects in the taste. Prices are value for money but also reflect the fact that standards are high. You get good stuff, well presented and... More

Our food was good but the Bar/Lounge dates back to the Seventies.Extremely old fashioned and in need of a makeover. In this year of 2016. I cannot see what there is to entice patronage of the Redgarth.Staff were lovely and very attentive.

The Redgarth is a traditional hotel and lounge bar with function suite. No shiny chrome, pleather bench seats or thudding music making it difficult to chat!! Comfortable, clean tables and chairs, busy pleasant ambience and amazing food make this well worth regular visits. Well cooked and delicious, the menu caters for everyone at a reasonable price. Staff very efficient but... More

Two of us went for a pub supper to the Redgarth on a snowy, cold Friday evening. Pub was warm and quite a few people there even with the weather the way it was. Just good quality pub grub...fish and chips was great, chicken with haggis was tasty. Glass of red win and a coke. Just what we needed. Place... More

Booked a family meal for seven people on a Saturday evening. The restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere and we were made to feel right at home by the proprietor who came to the table for a chat and also gave us a bit of a history lesson on the restaurant. Both the food and level of service provided throughout... More

I have been here several times, I love it. Very good roast dinners, excellent fish but the best bit are the oven roasted vegetables. Has s good selection of real ales. Good for families, couples or just a quiet drink.

We were recommended to go here by a friend. I came with my partner and our baby daughter. We were seated at a table and had to ask for a high chair for our daughter ( they had to go find one) We ordered our drinks and when the high chair came it was completely covered in black mould. The... More

Dear Sofia I'm really sorry to hear about your visit to us and it's unfortunate that I didn't get a chance to speak to you personally to rectify the situation. I completely understand that this must have been very off putting and having investigated the situation I believe that one of our old high chairs, which had been withdrawn from... More

I liked this place. Quietly position, a bit dark inside. However a nice range of beers and delightful food. The Redgarth has rooms which I am sure will be excellent. Not too far from Aberdeen, close to OldMeldrum golf course. Well worth visiting for lunch or dinner.

Thank csapp
