Went there for lunch, pretty busy. We asked for a table and were given no choice although there were other tables to choose from (not reserved). Good tuscan food, if you take the cheese starter, 3 lumps of pecorino, with a bit of bread you would have enough; Friendly service, but the owner kept interfering, probably a bad day; To... More

Nested in a beautiful spot in Pienza. The food was good but nothing unique when I compare to other Tuscan restaurants. The staff was very busy. Paying most of the attention to a few tables. Wild boar stew (house specialty) was okay. I could of been eating pork, beef or anything else for the matter. Couldn't pick up the Flavour... More

At the recommendation of our driver, we had dinner at the Trattoria while spending a few nights in Pienza. We loved the whole experience -- it is so down-to-earth, a mix of locals and tourists - all very relaxed. Delicious food that really felt like home, nothing fancy, just very hearty, very delicious, and inexpensive. Great pasta and soups especially!... More

This is a mom/pop operation where everything is home made and tastes like it. Excellent pici and roast pig. Inexpensive too!

We were in Pienza at lunchtime and were looking for a restaurant when we saw this pretty patio at the end of the road. We did not have high expectations for the food but we were pleasantly surprised. The homemade pasta was really good! Loved the thick noodles. We saw other people having nice looking salads too. Overall, a nice... More

The food was all very freshand tasty. Great local "pici" (thick fresh spaghetti) and the various condiments we tried were all good. So was the suckling pig and the melted pecorino in earthenware. Also the zuppa with veg and beans. Generous portions. good house wine. went there twice in a row in march.- had been there a year ago too.... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel and we weren't disappointed. The little pork was really good and could easily have been shared if we had only known. That would have left us with more room to try more food which we would have enjoyed. Roberto was a wonderful host. We saw him around town in the next... More

We had dinner here during off-season and we're pleasantly surprised. The roasted suckling pig was AMAZING! Melted in your mouth and couldn't stop eating it. The tagliatelle with duck sauce was delicious too. If we didn't make reservations somewhere else we would have gone back the second night :)

Finding something open in January in Pienza is a challenge, so when you find a place open, you try. So we did. It's very simple, honest menu, simple service. Prices a bit high and nothing amazing but it's good. Try the Maialino 🐷 or Tris of cheese 🧀, they are very nice (avoid the local wine). Anyway a safe and... More
