Food acceptable, local and tasty, but nothing special. Service slow and confused. I will not be in a rush to eat here again.

We had decided to visit the small Island of San Pietro with the hope of seeing the Eleonora's falcons at Capo Sandalo on the island. We decided to have lunch at this small family owned trattoria is situated on a quiet , colourful cobbled street on the corner of Via Antonio Gramsci and Via Don Nicolò Segni, in the historic... More
On a lovely co bled street and great front of house appeal but the food is very average. I thought the tuna was the best dish but my overall experience of the place was not good and I have been here half a dozen times so I feel I gave it a fair shot.
Stopped here for lunch as a group of 4, mainly as there were a group of locals eating here, always a good sign. We were proper tourists and had the Menu Touristica, which was very good valve and was good food, good friendly service and all round a very enjoyable lunch.
We were lucky to get a table during lunch time for the family of four. The food wasn't bad but nothing exceptional. Portions were not big, good for me, but our teenagers needed more and prices were higher. On the positive side, the place looks nicely and homely.
Located in the hearth of historic center of Carloforte. Small, family run trattoria. We have visited it during our one day trip to Isola San Pietro. We have received recommendation from local guy when we were asking for nice, good priced restaurant and we were not disappointed. Staff is friendly and fast, food and its prices was good. You can... La Cantina is run by lovely people on a nice street. We always choose a seat outside and enjoy the people watching. All of the classic dishes are on offer and it is a good solid choice- especially for lunch. Good food, well prepared.
the staff were unpolite and hurried to close the restaurant asap (at 13:30). No usual atmosphere you can fine in a little restaurant of a lovely sea town. Very little food, badly cooked...badly arranged by the waitress on the ta ble...very expensive!
The thing to remember about this small restaurant in the back streets of Carloforte, is that it's a trattoria. Not a ristorante. It's a small and simple affair, nice pasta, mains and sides. It feels like you're eating in someone's house, which adds to the charm. Lots of seats outside too, if you can get one - the locals seem... More
Dinner was promising, as the terrace was full when we arrived but the friendly waitress quickly managed to arrange a table for us. Colourful and lively atmosphere, however our dining experience was far from perfect as the food was much below our expectations and the rave reviews we had read. The tonno, supposedly THE specialty of Carloforte and the restaurant... More
