Don Alfonso cooking school is a delight. Organic farm & kitchen garden produce, imaginatively cooked with passion, delicious Mediterranean cuisine. I spent a morning cooking pasta with a lovely couple from New Jersey who became friends by the time we were eating lunch and ha having a tour of the amazing thousand year old wine cellar. Chef Nico introduced the... More

My wife and I were traveling through Italy & France for 14 days. This was by far the best meal we had on our entire trip. Food, drinks, service were excellent. We also were taken on a tour of the 2,000+ year old wine cellar and were able to see the kitchen and meet the Chef. My wife and I... More

It is not a cheap restaurant, but the freshness of the strictly local products, the creativity of the chefs, the service at the table all make this a fantastic experience.

Ok, so I made a huge mistake. I had a reservation here for a Sunday night but got confused and instead arrived on the Monday night. The problem is they are technically closed on Monday and only serve a limited menu to hotel guests. With infinite calm and professionalism, the maitre'd, Ciro, encouraged us to stay and proceeded to go... More

Wife and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at Don Alfonso in late August. They have multiple tasting menus - we chose the "little" 5-course option - and a la cartel options. Each course was superb, expertly prepare and served. The pre-dessert and dessert were to die for. The somm recommended a delicious red wine, which paired wonderfully with the tasting... More
