The first thing I noticed was the friendliness and great pride EVERYONE takes that I met here. Whether manager, bar person, cooks, server … everyone exuded a warm welcoming feel and genuinely wants the customers time to be exceptional. BEER I am more of a wine person but had a truly good time trying their craft beers. My personal favorite was the coffee IPA which was the perfect accompaniment to my food. FOOD - again WOW. the handmade poppers were fresh and flavorful and a great starter. That was followed by the most tender and tastiest burger I’ve had in ages.
I took the tour and John (New Jersey John) presented and explained things so well. Knowledgeable and passionate about the beer and restaurant, he could not have been a better host.
So yes, take a tour, or just stop for a beer and a bite . You won’t be disappointed !!!

I went for a beer tour. It was WONDERFUL. John the host was so funny 🤣, thorough and spoke and explained everything in details for a beer novice like me can simply understand. Friendly and accommodating. He recommended some great beers (see pics), and the food was AMAZING freshly made, well worth the time and cost. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The burger was great. The beer flight was excellent. My wife also said that the chicken salad was the tastiest and healthiest she has managed to find in Costa Rica. They even made a cheeseburger for my daughter that didn’t feature on the menu so she didn’t feel left out.

We went because of the great reviews, but we were a bit disappointed. The food was very average. The burger was small and came with chips (crisps). We were expecting chips (frensh fries). The chips were tastes. They lacked both flavour and salt. The dish came with two sauces, which also lacked flavour. Very underwhelmed. We were looking forward to this place. If you are going I advice to reserve a table of you are going in the evening

A complete dump of a place with service staff that clearly do not enjoy dealing with human beings and clearly do not like what they do.
With 2 waiters and less than a dozen customers, it was a task just to get the attention of the servers. And when you were able to place the order, it either arrived 20 minutes later or in some instances, it never arrived. Keep an eye out of your final bill because the orders that never arrived will still appear on the final bill. Beer was mediocre at best.
I would definitely pass on Monteverde Brewing Company!

Excellent food. The crispy chicken sandwich was really good and so was the freshly brewed seltzer especially the pineapple one! Plenty of ales to try and available in 6oz glasses so you get to try a few.

We visited as a family of five (adult children) and had a great experience. The maracuyá hard seltzer is easily the best seltzer I’ve ever had - nothing canned could ever compare. A member of our party had a severe allergy and the waitstaff and kitchen staff took it very seriously and did a great job of explaining the menu items that were safe. Our server Henry was absolutely wonderful and his flawless English/Spanish made the experience a true 10/10.
Our food was also wonderful and some of the best/most unique we’ve had in Monteverde after visiting four times. Thank you Henry and crew for a memorable night!

Amazing experience all around!! Friendly staff and great quality food at a reasonable price with a breathtaking view of the sunset! Fresh ground beef patties blended with a secret recipe of herbs and spices. The meat was tender and juicy. The buns are baked fresh in house and the mozzarella cheese comes from a local dairy farm. We also ordered a salad because, balance, it was delightfully refreshing. The passion fruit dressing was naturally sweet without drowning out the veggies :)

Amazing gem! We came for the beers, which were delish, but absolutely loved the food! The chili poppers came with a super yummy sauce, but the drunken chicken sandwich with extra organic oyster mushrooms was so, so good. Oh and do yourself a favor and order a hard seltzer, even if it’s to split so everyone can try. Pineapple was my favorite!

Awesome experience tonight for dinner. Gustavo was excellent as our server. May be the BEST burger I have ever had. The bread was homemade and if you have ever had a good burger on a bad bun you know it can ruin the whole burger…Not the case here. Everything was super fresh and delicious.
We had the wings for an appetizer and the hummus..both were great. Our entire family loved the food and the beer.
They have Hard Seltzer on tap. My wife had the strawberry which was great.
You don’t want to miss this place if you are in Monteverde. Thank you for a great meal and evening.

First time to Monteverde, I was surprised to see a local brewery there and decided to check it out. I was not disappointed! I ordered a beer flight, all were good, but really enjoyed their sour and hazy IPA. I ordered the house burger - super good as well- the meat was flavorful and seasoned. Nice place to watch sports

This place was an awesome experience! We did a beer sampling tray and really got to enjoy a lot of their locally brewed beers and IPAs. The food was also so good as we split two of their sandwiches (forget what they are called but attached pictures). Overall, if you are looking for a great dinner spot in Monteverde, definitely stop in to Monteverde brewing company!

The IPA was delicious (and we drink a lot of IPAs in the states). They had some fresh juice for the kiddos which my 8 year old loved (watermelon). The stuffed jalapeños were delicious but my only comment is that they weren’t spicy enough (we love spicy food), but if you want to add a kick to it, ask for the Buffalo sauce which is really habanero based and had a really nice flavor. We also had the beef sandwich and Texas burger, both really good. The wings were great but the edamame was the standout (it had soy, ginger, sesame on them) and they were amazing. Will definitely try to make it back.

If you are looking for a place in Costa Rica where food and craft beer come together in a unique experience, this restaurant is a must-see gem. The variety of beers is impressive, from light and refreshing options to robust, complex-note beers that delight any beer lover. The staff explains and helps you in everything!
There are a thousand amazing beer options and a very varied short, I love it!

My boyfriend loves beer… so this place was on his list for Monteverde and it did not disappoint.
We were looked after incredibly well by Ross and Henry, who provided lots of good knowledge about the food and drink available.
Personally, I don’t like beer BUT I absolutely loved their Seltzer (which they make themselves!) and the burgers were fantastic! We couldn’t fit pudding in but it looked brilliant.
