We popped in because it seemed to be busier than others. We weren't disappointed. The food was very good and they spiced it well for me. The atmosphere was good and service good and friendly. The lady running the show had her fingers on all the buttons and everything ran well.

On my first night in Unawatuna, I had dinner at Lucky Tuna on the recommendation of my hotel manager. Got a table on the beach front, and read my book peacefully while sipping a beer. The seafood bbq starts at 7pm. I got a small tuna fish with salad and fries for 2000 lkr. Now that I've been in unawatuna... More

We settled on here to have a seafood bbq. Happy we did. Ordered calamari and prawns cooked on the beach bbq and it was delicious. It came with chips and salad all for 3,000. Great service the beers kept coming and finished off with banana fritters. Would recommend.

Waiter said free sunbeds with food or drink purchase. After ordering a drink we were then harassed to buy food as well. Attitude of waiter completely changed from friendly to rude once we told him we were only interested in drinks. Told the waiter we would pay for drinks but enjoy the sunbeds in the meantime while we finished the... More

The restaurant is right on the beach - a perfect place to eat fresh fish. There was an extensive menu but we chose the grilled tuna with salad and french fries, which had become a firm favourite on our travels. Ended the evening at the bar with a couple of Sri Lankan cocktails. A beautiful location with excellent food.

Wanted to try other beach restaurants so came to lucky tuna. Tried their grilled squid and prawns for 2000lrp - which I felt was a lil pricey cos it's served with fries and salad only, and about 10pcs of prawns and 2 small squids. However the taste was still good. Though I'll advise not to have their lassie as they... More

As most places in the coast that are driven by foreign tourist, its unfortunate to say that the local staff don't treat locals as well as they do to foreigner. To add to that the food was really bad.

Had an amazing seafood dinner there with some cold beers and live music! Very well priced with the option of choosing your fresh seafood for the BBQ or ordering off the menu! Thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely go back!

Had dinner here twice - chicken curry and deviled prawns - which were both perfectly acceptable without being exceptional. However both nights I saw them prepare the shisha/hooka pipe by inhaling from the pipe to get the smoke flowing, then taking the pipe straight out to the guests. I would prefer the pipe to be clean when brought to me... More
