This place doesn't look much, but it served up one of the best Sri Lankan rice and curries of my eighteen day stay in the country, and has the sea lapping at its walls. I'd agree with other reviewers about the pumpkin curry, and would advise giving the chicken curry a miss.

A small family run shack type place with about four tables, overlooking the sea, although we got a bit hemmed in by a family of six and had to ask them to all move  to get out at the end of our meal.  Service was good, we ordered a prawn curry which arrived with rice which was a bit on... More

Cheap and cheerful curry with an ocean view....you are literally a metre from the waves. It is a simple and down to earth place, family run, and homely. Despite the backpacker-esque decor, this place is strangely romantic of an evening. Food is very tasty and one of the better places to have Sri Lankan curry in Unawatuna.

Right on the water, this small little place has outstanding curry dishes. The prices are reasonable. Pumpkin curry was our favorite. We ate lunch here the first day of our trip and returned 3 consecutive days - we couldn't get enough. It was a very simple place - no thrills - but with aqua-marine water to look at and delicious... Situated on the water's edge at the west end of Unawatuna, the 'One Love' restaurant is a small, family owned affair that specialises in good, plain food at great prices. It is small and tumbledown in appearance but as we sat a few feet above the waves we were able to watch turtles feeding just below us. The food was... More

As others have raved, the pumpkin curry is really good. We didn't find the service as friendly as others have had, though, which was unusual by Sri Lankan standards. It's a tiny place but has nice decor.

Myself and 4 friends had our only bad Sri Lankan experience in One Love Restaurant. We had a pleasant evening although the naturally friendly and welcoming Sri Lankan hospitality was definitely missing here. Overall the food was good but 500 rupies mysteriously vanished from our payment of the bill at the end of the night. We had counted the money... More
