We as a family found the restaurant to have a great variety of dishes & options. They had numerous theme menu evenings as well the Masai & Swahili evening in the village which we found most enjoyable.
The restaurant staff was very attentive, welcoming, and at hand should anything be required.
The kitchen staff at the different serving stations were also always friendly and ready with another tasty fresh dish.
Thank you to everyone that made our stay so memorable!

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at the Karafuu Hotel! We are still on cloud nine! Welcome to the best of the hotel receptionists, all the staff are welcoming, warm, attentive to our requests and always smiling! We were in a Masaïe room, towels changed every day and the room was always very clean, the housekeepers did a quality job! We had an all-in formula, selection of alcohol and cocktail more than sufficient, there is also other alcohol not included in the all-in if you want something more specific. Concerning the main restaurant the buffets are very good, varied meals, we also ate at the pizzeria (also included in the all in) very good! In addition there is also the Grand Bleu restaurant which mainly offers seafood dishes, a treat! For $20 more you can privatize a table away from everyone, personalized decorations, candles, little touches will be there.
Concerning the excursions we did not go through the hotel but through Julio which is located on the hotel beach! You will be able to recognize him with his yellow or pink t-shirt written on the back “JULIO DE ZANZIBAR” We did 4 day trips + Mikumi’s safari! Go there with your eyes closed! He takes great care of us, the excursions are always well organized, driver always on time, with French guide as we requested, lunch with seafood platter, lobster, squid, octopus a treat! Cold drinks and fruit throughout the day.
Do not hesitate to contact him before your stay, he will be able to explain to you what he offers.

Zanzibar is a magnificent island and Julio was able to help us discover it through excursions.
We were staying with Kappa Club, well done to the entertainment team! They offer several activities during the week including outings to discover certain villages around the hotel. For our part, we visited the women's cooperative which transforms seaweed into various products, we also visited the village of Pingwe with meals at a local's home. It was very interesting to discover the Zanzibari way of life!
Evening show at the hotel, dances and discovery of the Masai atmosphere guaranteed.
We highly recommend this hotel.

Clean , tasty several options for variety.
Ask for Mr. George and you are in great hands with his team.
Unfortunately due to Covid there is some reduced occupancy we did not get to try the other restaurants but the main restaurants was good enough for us.
Thank you Karafuu Resort Team for making our stay joyful

Unfortunately our stay wasn't that memorable as i wanted. The hotel facilitys are nice however the staff ia a problem at this hotel.
I work in hospitality and this hotel is far far far away to be near a 5 stars in europe.
Staff is friendly however not professinal. They are serving food, drinks whatever it is and constatly speaking to each others which at the end leads to a lotnof mistakes like serving wrong bottle of wein wrong drink and so on.
Houskeeping for me was a total disaster... from not cleaning our room twice in the evening[ turn down service] to take 45 minutes to bring us 2 bottles of water... unbelievable....
The staff from this hotel must to have someone to give them a guidance how to work serve and behave on a 5 stars hotel.
We stayed on a villa number 2 and the sealling was being eatend by mosquitos or another animal. In the morning we woke up and the second bed from the room was full full of powder.. not normal for a 5 stars hotel.
The only positive thing for us was the spa: the spa is a big yes..people super professional they know what they are doing , amazing coconut treatment.
In general the hotel does not require the standard of 5 stars hotel and they have much to improve in order to have a right service and a good value for money.
For what the people like us paid and others do they do not provide a top quality service.
I wish i could give a amazing feedback about your hotel but the experience for us wasn't great at all.

It's very excellent and beautiful place for staying in holiday. Staff are very friendly in the hotel, beach is very nice, you can go in the water in both times of low tide and high tide. The people on the beach are also nice and very welcoming you. I recommend everyone to visit zanzibar and staying at karafuu hotel

Beautiful hotel with beach and swimming pools. Evening shows and daytime activities. Pleasant staff except the cashier (check your bill carefully). Themed buffets. For excursions we recommend Julio which is located on the beach and not the hotel's excursion stand. Well-kept gardens.

We had a wonderful experience at Karafuu Resort and Spa. We were here for 7days and had a great time. From the beautiful beach to the wonderful cocktails. What made it extra wonderful was the service especially from Mr Abdulla Mzee Shuwar - who made sure that we enjoy the activities around. When you get here make sure you ask for Abdulla. He’ll sort your trip out.

Stayed here 2 nights on tour after a Safari in Kenya. Relaxing atomsphere. Room had a strange configuration,but was very clean. Room location was excellent an had a great view of the beach. Hotel lobby was a lttle worn but acceptable as a beach location.
The food was plentiful and good quality.

We had 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts in this restaurant.
Well set out with everything labelled clearly, the chefs happy to create different dishes at breakfast.
Themed dinners but both very good.

Hello to all. I was in vacation in the Karafuu Beach Resort hôtel in Zanzibar. It could be such a nice week but thanks to Carmel Tourism from Single Tours Bnei Brak agency that left us for the last day with nothing. The all included does not include the last day!! They sold us 6 nights and 7 days and they know that the flight is at 23:50 the 7 day!!
About the hotel is all about money!!
The full board does not include everything!!
There are not enough hot water for 5 showers in the evening. After 2 showers you have to wait half an hour!!!
Sometimes in the middle of the shower no more water!! Yes for 1 or 2 mns there are no more hot or cold water!!
You even don’t have free internet in the rooms!!
Zanzibar is very nice and I recommend to all, but choose an other hotel.
