Approaching the picture-perfect harbor of Terre de Haut is a sublime experience. Once on land, there are many dining options in this small town. We had a very pleasant luncheon in Au bon vivre, a lovely restaurant with a backyard patio (where we sat). A trio of different fish dishes was the perfect starter - each preparation brought out the... More

We decided to go here for lunch on a Monday as I had seen it featured in the Guadeloupe tourism videos produced for YouTube (with model/actor Willy Monfret). It was absolutely delicious. We went for the 22E meal of three courses - we had the fish duo and the smoked fish on toast as the appetizers and both were excellent.... More

Not on the ocean side of the street, on the inland side, excellent food, both Caribbean and French cuisines, very good wine list.

We visit here every time we are in Les Saintes (about twice a year). This most recent trip we have the triple decker stack of filet, veal and foie gras. It was truly amazing. The lamb and mashed potatoes are also excellent. The foie gras app is also classic french style. It's a quiet atmosphere, it doesn't have a water... More

The restaurant is not at the front row to the ocean, but that doesn't matter, because you will be surprised how cozy and roomy the restaurant is, including a 'terrace'. A reservation with a small group is recommended may even with two people. Even we were early there, the service was really busy but friendly and tried hard to please... More

We have spent 24 hours in Terre-de-Haut and been there twice for lunch and dinner :) duck breast with passion fruit sauce was delicious, so was a tuna with the same sauce. Beautiful and cozy interior makes it a great place to relax. The owner is very friendly. They are open for lunch and then from 1930 for dinner. Note:... More

Had been recommended this restaurant by sail boat captain and reservation made for us. Menu not really to our liking, but went for small rib eye steak . Took ages to arrive and it was so dark at our table difficult to see what we were eating. The steak was all gristle and could not be swallowed. It was expensive... More

Although we had made reservations, it was not possible to sit in the garden, which would have been advisable on a warm evening. Servers were certainly affable but not very professional, e.g., not pointing out that sancerre could be a red wine, which was opened, in addition to the white that we had expected (and also on their wine menu).... We enjoyed our evening here very much. The interior is tranquil and cool. Each course and the drinks were all superb. The staff was efficient and helpful. We were never rushed but never ignored. Kudos to the whole team at Au Bon Vivre for a job really well done. Highly recommended.
