We had visited in summer 2014 to find it as the other reviewers and were looking forward to a return journey yesterday only to find it closed. It looked very closed, as in not having been open at all recently. Judging by the fact that there haven't been any other reviews this year, I assume this condition is long-term. Instead,... More

Visited yesterday as my mum was keen to try out the cream tea. It was our second attempt as the tearooms are only open weds-sun during the school holidays and only weekends at other times I believe. Yes, service is not speedy, yes some food had run out when we got there at 4 but it's a privately owned oasis... More

We visited to have a drink before we went to the Beach, the prices are a little high for a pot of tea and the service was very slow. I would have enjoyed it more if we had of got our drinks a lot quicker. With a bit of improvement with the service times it would be really lovely. The... More

We had a Ploughman's Lunch there as we walked from Margate to Broadstairs along the Viking Trail. It was very, very good, freshly prepared and we sat in the delightful cottage garden of the house surrounded by roses, shrubs and flowers. We were so full we could not try the wonderful sounding home made cakes, but this was a real... More

There is this nice cottage and in the garden right next to it (and to the sea as mentioned above) you can enjoy wonderful things made by the owner herself which are delicious! I was happy to be one of the lucky persons to have tried eating their cake and scones and having tea and coffee. I would definitely recommend... More

So quaint, so quintessentially English. You sit out in the garden to the sound of the piano. Think I could have sat there all day but we wanted to go down to the beach too! Our coffee was fresh and excellent.
