Stumbled across the Village Inn when staying at an apartment at the failed hotel complex round the corner. The Village Inn is the only place to eat around there and we were so lucky it was 100m down the road! Honestly, seeing the surrounding area...More

Description
Very intimate dining experience. Charming old building, wonderful al fresco dining in the summer months. Attention to detail. Every table is beautifully set with fresh flowers from Kathie's garden. Each table different. Value for money. Specialities include, lamb chops with honey, mint, garlic and lemon, Persian spice lamb, steak and kidney pie with roast and veg, Circassian chicken. Desserts are a real treat here at The Village Inn. Apple crumble, brandy snap baskets, crepes in a Grand Marnier and orange sauce to mention a few of the many! Starters also are worth mentioning. Hot honeyed prawns are a real favourite, phyllo pastry filled with creamed hot spinach, melted goats cheese and served with a cranberry and red currant sauce, stuffed mushrooms, baby squid sauteed with garlic, braised lamb's liver with mushrooms, onions and Madeira wine. All just waiting for you. Well worth the visit.
