Really good value in simple surroundings. Homemade soup, excellent fish, good salads. Very friendly, helpful host. Definitely worth a visit.

The interior of the restaurant is simple, wooden benches and tables. The host is very friendly and has a lot of humor. He runs the place together with his wife, who is the cook. My wife and I had a mixed salad and an octopus salad as a starter, which proved to be a meal in itself. We had fish... More

We knew the dish would be big so we only ordered one but it was excellent. The owner was very friendly and very attentive. We were seating next to people that were also staying at the same B&B so we had a great evening. They had ordered the same dish but one each. We laughed!!! Food was excellent and very... More

Very good local food, fish and meat diary menus with excelent prices. At Sundays the food it's a litle bit different, more elaborated with country flavours. Decoration as a typical "Tasca Portuguesa" and nice people. Recommend it

The staff was absolutely great and the food incredible! Very tradicional and i think old -vintage place. When we brought the bill we were literally surprised, soo cheap! I dont even know how its possible!

While the food is great and prices excellent, the main attraction for us was the local singers. Advertised as a Fado singer , she was wonderful but also highly entertaining were the exceptional spontaneous local singers . Both staff & diners were up dancing while delicious food & wine were still being served. We have been on hols in Algarve... More

This restaurant is a quick drive from the main tourist areas (Eg Portimão), but well worth it. Don't be fooled by the extrior! Its has a very personal touch, great food and very affordable! ITs popular with a lot of locals and gets busier after 9pm. An extra bonus is that - unlike so many restaurants - their desserts are... More

The restaurant was recommended by our B&B and we were so glad we went here! It is the exact opposite of a tourist trap.. you get authentic Portuguese food surrounded by the locals. The meal was delicious and a good value- three of us ate for under 50 euros including two carafes of wine, three entrees, a salad, a round... More

After googling 'fado music near carvoeiro' we went on the Sunday night to find a place full of local people, who treated us with great friendliness, the singing was beautiful and made it a very special evening... Food also excellent and good value!

I went in a group of 12, had very good grilled fish (grilled foods are the specialty) and drinks for about 12 Euros per person, which is very reasonable. Service was friendly and quick (especially considering how many people) The restaurant is a bit hard to find and parking is definitely a problem in the area.
