We arrived early and managed to obtain a table. Many other diners were not so lucky as they arrived later. As we were early we had one of the offers of a starter and sirloin steak and wine. This was very good value. The food...was all lovely although my steak had quite a lot of fat through it. This did not spoil my meal and we had a lovely night.More

Rib eye steak was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. All meals coming out looked amazing. More importantly my friend was feeling unwell whilst we were there. The staff were exceptionally caring and couldn't have been more helpful.

I first ate in O Touro de Alvor in June 2022 on a golfing trip and we had a magnificent time. Not only was the food right out of the top drawer, the service from Joao and the team was helpful, friendly and efficient. We...ate SO much good food, but the highlights were the Gorgonzola, honey and nuts bruchetta - one of the best things I have ever tasted - and the Mixed Grill (basically a load of different steak cuts for 2 people to share). The meal and wine was so good, in August I went back with family to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary. The steaks, again, were perfectly grilled and all the side dishes were excellent. This restaurant is right at the end of the main drag in Alvor, so could easily be missed if you're in the town. But I urge you to give it a go. It's a small, privately owned steakhouse with a big welcome and fantastic food. It's heavily meat-focussed, some seafood too, but to be honest that suits me perfectly. Steaks also come in a range of sizes. I picked the medium 11oz fillet and that was sensational. I could probably have downed the 14oz...but needed space for the bruschetta!More

Loved it We walked by the restaurant in the morning and noticed you could order different sizes of steaks. We made reservations for that night and were not disappointed. 2 of us ordered steaks and both steaks were perfectly cooked. My wife ordered the veggie...burger and absolutely loved it. Tiramisu was delicious. All wait staff were considerate and helpful. We learned that the owner is also the chef. You can't wrong with a chef operated restaurant. Highly recommendMore

Brilliant restaurant we stumbled across in Alvin. early walk in at 6:30pm ish. Accommodated and seated immediately. Had we have been 30 mins later probably too busy for a walk in. Lots of bookings which speaks for itself. Chose the early special available to 7:30pm...for two. Consisted of a selections of starters, bottle of wine, steaks and sides. We also ordered olives and a bread basket. Food was delicious and plenty. Realistically we didn’t need the bread or the olives but I wouldn’t have not had them as they were too good! Amazing value and the service was brilliant. Can’t fault it at all. Well worth checking out!More

We booked via messenger a few weeks before travel and responded quickly and secured the reservation. We arrived for 8pm to a packed restaurant so was so pleased we booked in advance We have been going to Alvor for 11 years now and what have...we been missing! We had the mixed grill for two (fillet, rib-eye and sirloin steaks). The quality of the meat was excellent and cooked to perfection. Staff were also super friendly. Overall, the best meal we have had in Alvor!!

6 of us vsited and had a table outside . I have to say the steaks we had were superb . Cooked perfectly and full of flavour , will be back .

Booked this restaurant after walking past and it lived up to the expectations, service and food amazing. Sat outside so we could watch the world go bye. It was so good we booked for the following evening whilst there. Great for families, our 12 year...old loved it.More

A truly fantastic restaurant. The staff gave us a warmhearted welcoming that I have hardly experienced anywhere else. They managed to organize a long table to seat all 13 of us. The beef we had was outstandingly delicious and perfectly done. Don't go anywhere else...in Alvor, or Algarve for that matter.More
