We come to Alvor about 3-4 times a year. Had never eaten at Piccolo Mondo, but after somebody suggested it to us we went to give it a try. Unfortunately our pizza's were completely burned on the bottom! All we could taste was burned charcoal flavour... It wasn't busy in the restaurant at all at the time, so how the... More

Went to this place again this year......Brilliant food and the wine is only 9 euro a litre....The portion size on the pasta could be a little bigger...All in all another great meal,

Visited here with a pizza lover and pizza not so lover. We had the mushroom, calamari and mozzarella sticks to start-they were just fab. Then we had pizza, fillet steak and seafood spaghetti-the prawn on top of my spaghetti is the nicest prawn I've had all week!!!!!! We only visited to please our 11 year old, but I have to... More

Small but cute restaurant with a good menu. The gluten free pizza is amazing, very tasty and moorish. The gf pasta was also freshly made. I had the cabonara, the flavour and texture was excellent. You have to let them know that you want gluten free as soon as you order as it is freshly made.

This is the first time we visited here and enjoyed very much. I had the lasagne with salad which was very good. My wife ordered the pasta and asked for tomato sauce however it arrived with the white sauce. No big deal as it was still very nice. Would visit again to try the pizza most definitely as it looked... Fantastic on every level. From the food, to the waitress, to the speed our food arrived. Very authentic and nothing was too much trouble.

Good service. Great Pizza. I am not a wine drinker but the others in my party assured me that the house red was superb!!

Ate here on our last night in Alvor having sampled several other restaurants which we found a bit disappointing and over rated. Bruschetta to start, meatballs with spaghetti and lasagne for mains and a bottle of house red for a very reasonable price. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening in a nice friendly atmosphere.

Having visited several times last September, on our return to Alvor this year we dined three times at Piccolo. The quality of the food and ambience of the restaurant is still top notch and great value. Highly recommended for authentic Italian cuisine in a cosy relaxed setting.
