Book is a must, we learned the first time. This place gets busy which tells you how fantastic it is. Pizzas are big as a car wheel and very tasty. Service is outstanding considering how busy this place gets, and do not have to wait...long for your food. People are lovely and throw in some jokes. Very reasonably priced also you are not ripped off with the drinks. Nice and easy atmosphere. The difference between good quality ingredients and the rubbish the hotel up the road serves up.More

Arrived Monday evening (3/10), without a reservation (not to be advised) and a table was immediately found. Staff were so lovely and friendly. Had garlic bread with cheese to start - so thin you barely knew there was dough there. Not oily or overpowering with...garlic. One piece was more than enough between two. My wife had the carbonara with only a little creamy sauce. It was delicious - I had to taste it!! The spaghetti was home made and flavoursome. Each individual part of the dish could be tasted - bacon, mushroom, pasta and sauce. No one item took from the flavour of the other parts. Plate cleared. I had a pizza with ham, mushroom, ham and pineapple. WARNING - do not have a starter if pizza is on your menu. I had forgotten how large they were - over the sides. Thin and crispy is being polite. It was fab. Unfortunately I could not finish it totally as I had had the sharing starter. You could not taste the base it was so light - like communion bread - knew it was there but did not get in the way of anything else - wafer tin but strong enough to hold the whole show together. The added pieces could each be tasted and complimented each other. For the food, a small bottle of Rose and 2 large Cokes the bill was round 40 euro. Though very reasonably priced this is high class great food, served with a genuine smile in lovely surroundings. I could not have broken the bank here even if I had wanted to - TOP MARKS. This is a most amazing small family owned restaurant just outside the prestana blue alvor hotel , incredibly popular with holiday makers and local, definitely advise booking to avoid disappointment. The food is delicious authentic rustic Italian cuisine, the home made pasta and pizzas are...to die for, we enjoyed it so much we made two visits, the first was starters and mains but with the size of portions I would suggest you go for a sharing starter as the portions are extremely genuine. For mains, we can recommend spaghetti bolognaise, really authentic, lasagne again delicious but the Mediterranean tagliatelli is something extremely special as is the Mars tagliatelli but everything is delicious, the pizzas are thin, crisp and delicious but here is the but..... the drinks service is absolutely dire, you order your meal and then wait 30 to 45 minutes before a drink arrives, often the same time as the meal, which isn't really what you want for an evening out, most people enjoy ordering the meal, having a drink and enjoy the ambience of the restaurant before enjoying a really traditional Italian meal. If the owners could focus on customer needs as well as the food, going there would be an outstanding experience, perhaps Portuguese are more tolerant of the lack of attentive service, but if you accept that flaw, it's a definite place to dineMore

We got takeaway pizzas from here while staying at a nearby hotel. They tasted great, were pretty cheap and the portions were massive. Great stuff.

The decoration, music gives a delightful ambiance. Menu with exquisite dishes such as “Brasaola” beef Carpaccio on top of arugula and slim focaccia. With tones of lemon “amazing”. Tried beef lasagna, a traditional dish prepare like the best of Venetian lasagnas. Slim pasta including bechamel...sauce and amazing golden cheese. Husband has Spaghetti Camarao. Wonderful taste. Home made ice cream for dessert. Smooth, creamy, light amazing vanilla with chocolate & orange. Magnific!! Magnifico!!More

What an amazing experience, and experience is the best description of this restaurant. As a family of four my 2 kids (under 12) went with the pizza, while my wife had the shrimp/prawn pasta. I went for the house special pasta. The pizza was huge,...authentic and delicious with a lovely thin base. My kids devoured it like a pack of carrion on a corpse. As for the pasta. The shrimp pasta was both simple and complex. The shrimp itself was sweet and juicy. Pasta was homemade and the whole dish was amazing. The house special, this was a first for me, from presentation through to flavor, it had everything. Its so good I don't want to ruin it with a description, just bring your stretchy pants. You will need them. WE finished off sharing a lemon and chocolate moose. An amazing experience, amazing staff, just amazing.More

We walked past Mediterraneamente one evening, and observed it was busy and popular, and called by this evening for a meal. We were squeezed in despite the restaurant being busy, and had a enjoyable, wholesome meal. Generous portions of quality food, the four cheese tagliatelle...is recommended, and the Greek salad stood out.More

The best of the best... Food, drinks, staff, Chef... Everything is just perfect ! Wonderful pizzas, great pasta, delicious deserts, homemade ice cream ! It can not get any better !
