We enjoyed a Sunday drive from Arezzo to Anghiari, and had Lunch at Cantina Del Granduca. We started with a platter of various meats, and then I had Veal Fillet with Porchini Mushrooms and Cheese. And my Wife had Spaghetti with Garlic, Zucchini, and another ingredient we cannot remember. All the dishes were enjoyable. I would have liked some vegetables... More

We ate at this quaint restaurant a couple of times while we were in Anghiari. The food was great and the service was friendly and accommodating. We liked it enough to come back more than once even though there were many other choices in town. There was a choice of outdoor seating or indoor seating...we ate indoors and were lucky... More

We had a nice dinner at Cantina del Granduca. We chose the outside tables (unless you go at opening, it is advisable to book as there are only 4 small tables) and all of us chose a pasta. We also tried the tiramisú (a'la Toscany), that was also ok. Tha atmosphere is nice, we loved our dinner.

The place is cosy and friendly- just like a dining room in a red brick medieval mansion. The food is freshly made, cooked and served in front of you. The smell of truffle and mushroom wafts in the air and teases your taste buds. Once you have tasted your first bite, you will be delighted.

Good traditional Italian dishes, lots of choice, and quite fast service. Ideal for a lunch break stop when walking through Anghiari

Had a delicious and amazing value lunch as a family here. The bruschetta were generous portions with a variety of toppings. The pasta dishes were truly scrumptious. Beautiful and interesting sauces/fillings and al dente pasta which we accompanied with a mixed salad including lusciously ripe tomatoes. Commandeered the bijoux outdoor seating area which was rearranged for us with 2 high... More

This very small restaurant is clearly a family affair. Two years ago, we went here and mimed our way through dinner since we don't speak Italian and no one spoka de Inglish. Our return saw a daughter who is pretty fluent in English, very good natured, and the place has GREAT food!

We had an excellent meal here with a perfectly cooked steak and tagliata with a good bottle of red and at a fair price. Efficient friendly service. What more can you ask!

We visited this very friendly Restaurant with our 2 friends on a Sunday evening. It was busy but all of the Staff were very helpful and friendly explaining the menu to us and we were not disappointed with the food. Our host at the lovely "Giardino Nascosto" put us on to this great place. The food is real regional cooking -bringoli, cinghiale in forno etc., etc. and the wine very reasonably priced. The service is informal and helpful and the setting right in the middle of the beautiful old town of Anghiari is wonderful. It was so good we went... More
