Have visited here many times over the years. Food consistently well prepared, especially the omelets and salads. Friendly service and good value.

During our 2 weeks stay in the Provence in a village next to Baumes, we have been at Lou Castelet 3 times (that says already something...). It's not haute cuisine, but decent bistro food for a good price on a nice location. Service was good and food served quickly which is what we need with 2 young kids. The children's... More

Have never written a poor review before - but this cafe deserves one!! We stopped on a hot day and asked for an 'orange presse' with ice. We have been enjoying these all through our 2 months in Provence - refreshing, cold, quite large and until today costing from 1.3 euros to 3.5 euros. Naively we did not ask the... More

It's a great spot. Shaded terrace. Service was ok but slow, food was nothing special, very quickly made (pre-cooked or bought already made).

Having read some nice reviews at TA we were hoping for at nice meal, however we were overall disappointed. Kids menus were not tasting well at all. Risotto lacked serious flavor - hardly any parmesan (served 10 min after ordered so you know it's not made from scratch. ) Poor value for money

We were a group of 8 who were surprised at the difficulty finding evening menus other than pizza at a reasonable price. We managed to stumble across this restaurant. Whilst main menu is not cheap, they offer a 3 course set menu for 23 euros, or 2 course for less. We had the 3 course option. 1st course - choice... More

Very good basic French food in a lovely setting with a great atmosphere. Great place for families and kids. This is not haute cuisine, but if you want an omelette and frites with a glass of wine, or a bowl of pasta or a salad, it's perfect and great value.

Late lunch and 2 omelettes completes did the trick. Soft omelette, good frites, but not keen on the goo all over the lettuce. Decent chunks of ham and mushroom and diabolo citrons helped us survive the 35 degree heat at 3 pm. stronger £ made prices more palatable but E15 for an omelette feels a bit pricey. On a cooler... Large open patio. Where the locals go for a bite. Simple standard fare-pizza-salads-omelettes-burgers. Very well prepared with fresh ingredients and large portions.

Very friendly and well organised restaurant with a superb outside eating area shaded by plane trees. I took a wine tasting group of 18 for lunch and enjoyed a great plat du jour with minimum agro - I booked it two weeks in advance.
