One of the most unique stops of any vacation. This is a must stop when visiting Jamaica. A truly Jamaican experience. From the small, old wooden boat we took to get there to the island "aroma" as we approached to the rustic laid back feeling of being there. Wow!

As the description of the place said, it's a nice chill out spot just for a couple of hours. It was a very good experience however don't order food if you don't need to. They serve sliced fish and a lobster 'salad'. Drink a beer instead!

What can i say about Pelican Bar, there is only one in the world and it is in Jamaica! Incredible wooden bar in the middle of the water, check the vibes of the local mixing with the tourists. Play dominos, have a Rum and Ting, life is great and it is even better at the Pelican Bar.

The amazing Bar in the Ocean, built on a Sandbar surrounded by clear blue waters the Pelican Bar is not to be missed on any trip to Treasure Beach! A 20 minute ride from Frenchmans Bay .... the scenic ride alone is worth the trip! The Beautiful undeveloped south coast is gorgeous by sea and and afternoon at the Pelican... More

People say it is getting more commercial, but as far as I could tell it was still super chill, busy but not insane plenty of rum, beer, fish, and lobster to go around. Play some dominoes or swim or relax it's all good. There are some vendors there now but they are not pushy. I recommend you hire your boat... More

We hired Rocky's Tour Taxi to drive us there. They gave the best deal 160.00us Its 3 hours there and back but it's a nice drive and our driver pointed out things along the way. You can stop and eat along he way. There are a couple of choices to go there. One is going up the black river I... More

Drinking a Red Stripe and eating some delicious fried fish in the middle of the ocean - whaatt. This is a shack set up in the middle of the Caribbean Sea on a sand dune. Sunbathe, drink and eat away if the owner has cooked. If you visit Treasure Beach you just HAVE to experience The Pelican Bar.

Pelican Bar is about 3/4 a mile out in the sea on a sandbar. You need to take a ferry (small fishing boats serve as this) that is available along the point. It does cost $20 per person for the ride, so once visiting was enough for me.

I really enjoyed hanging out on this special place. It looks really cool and you can carve your name in the wood, go for a swim, have a drink, eat something or just relaxe on this great place. I loved it

The excursion with Neal (off Billy's Bay) did not disappoint. It's our 3rd trip out to the Pelican Bar... it has expanded its offering since our last trip but still a quaint little adventure in the middle of the ocean! Go, have your name carved into the planks and have a red stripe before you snag a souvenir or just... More
