Was staying a night in Mallaig on the way over to Skye and stopped by here for dinner. Tasty macaroni cheese and they swapped out the chips for veg on my request without any trouble. Reasonably priced and cosy with a fire. Didn't feel like too much of a weirdo on my own with my book!

We visited Chlachain Inn after our daytrip full of hillwalking in Skye. It was nice to get a table, have seats and try the local products they use. We ordered fish and chips, a starter of mixed seafood and some more fish:) Everything was fine, service was OK by a local lad. They have nice selection of draught beers!

Lovely welcoming staff, great choice of food and drink...especially if you like whiskey!...the selection is amazing! The food is good value for money and the service excellent. Nothing like a relaxing glass or two by the open fire after a wonderful day out.

We had booked to stay the night and also had our dinner in the restaurant. We had room 2 which looked freshly decorated and for February night in Scotland it was warm and cosy. Power shower (no bath) was great too... There is something so warm and inviting about a bar that still has a real fire, I wish more... More

Been to Mallaig a few times now and i always visit here. Decent range of drinks including 3 or 4 real ales. Only a small pub but is one half is the bar area with pool table and the other half is the dining area. Feels fairly modern inside but has a real fire. Staff always friendly. Food is superb... More

We had an amazing meal here last year, and we were not disappointed on our return. We both had Cullen Skink to start - it was fantastic. He said it's the best he's ever had - and he has it a lot!! He had some sort of burger with haggis which he said was very good, but didn't get much... More

We booked lunch here following reviews on trip advisor for lunch venues in Mallaig. We were slightly disappointed when we entered the restaurant as it had more of a pub feel than we expected. The menu also disappointed a little as we were expecting a larger range of fish on the menu. We opted for the fish and chips and... More

When there wasn't another place open on a cold day in January, we stumbled into this lovely bar/restaurant, where we found literally the warmest of welcomes. There was a blazing fire, a great choice of meals, and a friendly unhurried atmosphere. I had the Cullen Skink, which was delicious, and my husband had lovely fresh battered haddock. With the stunning... More
