Visited the restaurant with family. We were served with delicious tiny cups of soup on the house. The menu was good. I had the roast beef cooked to perfection. However I was shocked that the roast beef had a supplement of £5 sterling. Highly unusual! Steaks usually attract this added cost. We shared a platter of dainty desserts which were... More

I rang to book the table for 2 with a highchair, when we come down the girl wasn't sure where is our table at, we had to wait on the highchair for good 10 minutes, table was so small, so uncomfortable! Tables far to close to each other and there is actually no room for the highchair!! Food was lovely,... More

I ordered a started but my boyfriend didn't and when my starter came out, they gave him a mini teacup with their soup - never seen this done before and... More

Looks tiny from the front but opens to a gorgeous modern restaurant and the food is just as good as the decor. The team is lead by a former Merchant Hotel chef and his menu shows a competence and understanding of flavours and produce. Good wine list too and a dinky little smoking area at the back.

Originally from the area and now living in Manchester this is a firm favourite for a treat when I'm over home for a visit. The food is delicious and the staff and atmosphere are great.

I visited here for a special occasion with my partner. I had asked for a nice table since it was a special occasion for us both however the staff seen fit to place us upstairs amongst a large rowdy party of around 16 people. So there we were, two people in amongst a whole party of whom we didn't know... More

Fresh and delicious if a bit on the dear side. Good for that special night out or treat. Best to book in advance, even on the night itself.

We had a table booked for 6 on a Saturday evening but had been told when booking our table was needed again for 8. We all ordered of the early bird menu, 2 courses for £14 or add a cocktail for £18. The food was beautiful and the setting and the ambience is very special, a real treat. Their rice... More

Having been gifted a voucher for Church St we used it tonight. It's been years since we dined there and it was under different management then. Service was quick without being rushed. Staff friendly without being overbearing. Our food was tasty and well presented. I'd be happy to visit again, and on tonight's meal recommend to others.
