A group of four of us went to the pub for an evening meal as we were staying in Ingleton. We couldn't decide on the starters as there were so many good ones, so we ordered a selection - the nachos, the bread board with oils and balsamic, which also came with olives and then the halloumi cheese - all... We rented one of the cottages (Merlin, wonderful) adjacent to the pub's car park for the week, so it was going to be difficult to not treat this pub as a local. It keeps a fine pint of Hobgoblin and a reasonable pint of Theakston's Best. We ate here on the first evening. This hadn't been on the plan but... More

Excellent country pub serving well prepared quality food. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was all served up around 10-15minutes after ordering. Would recommend getting to the pub around 5pm if you want a table quickly. As it starts getting busy after this time. Still worth waiting for....

We went for a drink Saturday, then booked for Sunday lunch! My mum is a vegetarian and wanted Sunday lunch, but they had no gravy suitable. So we asked if we could fetch our own for them to make and it wasn't a problem! Nothing was too much trouble, friendly staff and lovely environment. We will be returning for food... More

Called in here for tea on Friday night. Had a great meal, recommend the sausage and mash. Particularly enjoyed the onions that came with the meal. Varied menu and a good atmosphere. Good service too, especially as it was busy. Will visit again.

Very un inspiring lunch menu. To offer just two types of bread isn't ideal especially when they are ciabatta and wraps. Not every filling is suitable for this sort of bread. Cheese and Branston wrap, just wrong! I had the five bean chilli wrap. Tasteless, dry and over priced.

We ate Sunday lunch here. I had a beef stew with a side of vegetables from the specials board. Really tasty and tender but the veg was cool not hot. Husband had a beef roast which was a large portion and he said was very tasty. 14yo son chose gammon which he devoured! Surroundings were ok but more of a... More
