We ate in the feather the meal was nice and hot. See some of the comments we were very happy with the service. Plenty of choice not rushed to make choices. The atmosphere was like most country pubs quite not T.V. or loud music. could hear what everyone around the table was saying.

We arrived at a quiet time and the menu looked appealing, ordered our food 2 ham sandwiches and two tuna and cheese melts. Service was good until our grandsons tasted the tuna and cheese melts . These sandwiches were ordered for two very hungry boys and we sent most of their food back. The melts contained white onion which featured... More

Lovely selection of classic (coleslaw and crisps accompanied) or artisan (on ciabatta with salad, coleslaw and fries) sandwiches. Full menu also available including a burger that thoroughly pleased the male teenager. Very well presented with good friendly service. Would recommend.

We enjoyed a great sandwich whilst watching the football after a walk into the village from a nearby caravan site.

If you are vegetarian don't bother to visit the Feathers. The three friends I was dining with had an extensive menu choice but there was one vegetarian main meal on the menu. It was risotto, every eating place thinks vegetarians want blooming risotto ! The staff did ask the chef but no options were forthcoming. Surely any good chef could... More

I've given this a three, because the hotel room is lovely and the people are friendly, the food is where The Feathers falls down I fear. I'll start with the room, check in was great with a lovely friendly lady who explained everything and was very helpful. The room itself is very spacious, with a huge comfortable bed and nice... The service was excellent, the atmosphere was cosy, even though the decor is a little dark. Unfortunately their statement that they are "vegetarian friendly" is a slight exageration with the choices of risotto or a salad feeling very much like an after thought on the otherwise extensive menu. I opted for the salad, which was tasty and well presented, but... More
