Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Eat here often in the Summer. Usually outside for the view. Sometimes for the sun. Tried to eat yesterday but it was rammed for some game between Argentina and France; they directed us down the road. Came in again today - very quiet, but welcoming....Darts was on the TV this time, so not so much hype, though one of the players had a remarkable mullet. Had a great meal - seafood platter will feed two, and may well be the best in the area. Soup very tasty. Plenty of good bread - some places tend to be minimalist on the bread front, but not these folks. Ample. Highly recommend by Dave.More

Lunch stop our tour guide recommended to us while touring Southwestern Ireland and did not disappoint..ordered a seafood platter consisting of monkfish, crabmeat, breaded hake fish, shrimps, calamari, smoked salmon and crab claws…with chips. The seafood was noted to be very fresh and of course...delicious. Service was prompt…More

We were introduced to this gem of a place by our driver and your guide for our Ring of Kerry day trip. This small and charming off the beaten path restaurant had excellent food and kind service. The locals were ever so friendly and the...staff made us feel welcomed. We had the fish and chips and cottage pie and both were delicious.More

This was a fun stop while staying in the area. It seemed to be the local go to place, with great pints and food. We enjoyed our time here.

Sorry now but reviews below are very misleading!! Fish & chips very average - skin left on one complete side under the batter! Lasagne was after being cremated in a microwave!!! Very disappointing & room setting not great either.

The fish I ate in the restaurant was probably caught by one of the customers at the bar counter. Great atmosphere, great food, cheap prices. Loved it!

Stopper in for a quick bite after our tour of Skellig Michael and so glad we did. We had fish and chip, seafood platter and the chowder between our group with each sharing/tasting a bit - each dish was delicious ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rang to make a booking for my family and inquiry if our dog would be welcome, spoke with a man who was very friendly and informed me that it was first come first served. We were seated at around 6pm, the evening was stunning the...out door seating is in the best position to enjoy the sea views and watch the sun set. The food was very tasty, the brie starter was the highlight. The staff were very friendly, especially with our son, really made our evening. Will definitely visit again.More

Authentic Irish venue where the local conversation is as salty as the chips. The seafood platter was really good and was a ton of fresh seafood. The chowder was tasty and loaded with seafood as well. Veggie soup was just ok, the crab sandwich was...fresh and tasty. Service was attentive.More

Myself and the family have eaten here many times. The seafood dishes are really good , I'd say the seafood platter is the best I've ever had. You'd be mad not to have a seafood dish even though other stuff is available. Prices are creeping...up but I suppose everywhere is feeling the pinch. Don't think any of the staff have had formal serving training but don't let that put you off - the seafood is straight off the nearby boats and is served in decent portions . Great local food served by locals.More

I do not know. Let me suggest that you give them a call. If they are open when you visit, you need to eat and socialize here
