The 2 staff members had no interest in being there. When we asked for proper cups for our coffee, one said yes, the other no as they were closing, it was well before closing time. They’d no problem charging tho

We visited on a beautiful sunny day. Tables outside, front and back. Back seating by the sea. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food delicious and plentiful. Toilets spotless. Recommend fish n chips and open seafood sandwich.

Me and my partner has the chicken melt it was the best I have ever eaten. The freshest chicken, vegetables but most importantly, the buns are always fresh the way it should be. The young red head ashling was going above and beyond with us...chatting the local gossip and just making or evening very Pleasant in general. Even the breakfast items are prepared with conscientious effort and quality. Very impressed for such remote community. Job well done!!!! And nearly forgot young caiomhe ashlings littles sister who was running the till with a huge smile and also very chatty she even wrote down directions to bray head for us. Thanks again giltsMore

This was a great wee find on the Ring of Kerry. I’d highly recommmed their special - hake kataifi. Essentially pieces of hake in a filo pastry. I’d never had a dish like that before so was very pleasantly surprised to find something a bit...different in amongst the standard lunch menus in a tourist hotspot. Highly recommended!More

Stopped here for breakfast before a tour to Skelligs with my partner. Everything we ordered was very good, but I especially loved their scones. I asked to order some scrambled eggs by themselves & they said sure. Extremely Friendly 2 young girls ashling and caoibhe...which I found out after are sisters. They were both extremely helpful when I had to come back and ask a question about some directions.More

Great food, great service, great location. What more could you wish for! Only comment is that kids portions are tiny so only for the very little ones…

We had a wonderful lunch in the Smugglers cafe. The whole experience was made great, from the warm welcome by the very friendly staff to the great quality of the food. We even managed dessert.

We had an unexpectedly lovely lunch here on our way to Valentia Island after a wonderful drive around the Skellig Ring. Two of us had the hosue special, Fish kataifi, which was superb (hake in shredded filo pastry which I've more commonly seen in desserts...but worked so perfectly), chips and salad. The third member of our party had the chowder which was packed full of fish and rich and creamy. The bread was also really good. Portion sizes were perfect for us. We sat out the back, which was a bit blustery but the fencing offered shelter once we were sitting down and it was a really great experience.More
