We stopped here after our eco-tour for lunch and the food was excellent! Would highly recommend this as a place to eat!

Myself, my husband and our 1 year old had Sunday lunch at The Moorings last Sunday, a very busy bank holiday weekend! There was fantastic music in the bar and it was still no problem for Ger and Pat to find us a table for...food. I ordered the roast turkey and ham and it was one of the best roasts I have had in a very long time! The mash and gravy was so good that our daughter nearly ate all of my dinner!! My husband had the beef burger which he was delighted with. We will definitely be back very soon!More

We stayed at the Moorings, Portmagee for 3 nights and to say we were WELL LOOKED AFTER is an understatement. The staff were highly professional, warm and welcoming. The epitome of Irish Hospitality. Special mention must go to Front of House darlings Julie and Antoinette,...and who along with owners Pat and Ger, nothing was too much trouble. We dined on two evenings and had breakfast each morning. Just WOW!! The food was amazing. There are daily specials including fresh ' Catch of the Day' Being on the coast this was exactly what we were looking for on the menu and it didnt disappoint. Super local ingredients cooked superbly. Bravo chef ❤delicious and we couldn't recommend The Moorings highly enough for the food, the welcome and accommodation. This is a fantastic base for a 'Kerry' trip/experience. We'll be back as soon as we can. Thanks Pat,Ger, Julie, Antionette and Team you are doing a fantastic job 🙂More

Amazing! I think this is the first time I’ve written a review, because it was so good. The best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had and the BEST waffles we’ve ever had. Our server (a younger blonde girl) was also the only one working and she...was great. Wish we could come back!More

I stayed for two nights in The Moorings and couldn't fault the place. The room was comfortable and very clean. The breakfast menu was extensive with something to suit everyone. We both had the full cooked breakfast on the first morning and it was delicious....There was too much food on the plate for me but that is not a complaint. The restaurant served a wide range if food. We were s party of 6 for dinner and there was something to suit everyone. Parking is on street but easy enough to find a space.More

Stopped here for dinner whilst touring on Valentia. The pub is tastefully decorated and very well maintained. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was delivered promptly and was very tasty. Couldn't ask for much more tbf

Restaurant, pub, and guesthouse located right in the middle of the city with several food options. It's busy, so we waited about 20 minutes for a table to open. Menu has many options, including seafood, chicken, and nachos. We ordered burgers, chicken & bacon, and...nachos. Burgers were great, lots of fillings and flavor. Chicken & Bacon with side of veggies was okay. The chicken was a little dry, and veggies didn't have much flavor. Nachos were okay, but nothing special about them. Beer selection was good. Rather slow service (not for food), but had to flag the waiter repeatedly since we were in the corner where they don't pass often. Overall, decent spot for the town.More

Lovely bar/restaurant in the centre of Portmagee village. We had interactions with at least 4 staff members & all were friendly, efficient and welcoming. The food was really good especially the ferrero rocher cheesecake for dessert. All Covid protocols are followed in this bar which...is great to see. Definitely the best spot in Portmagee.More

Moorings Restaurant was fantastic!!!! Best calamari appetizer we've had in a long time, and our Hereford Burgers with melted cheddar and Canadian bacon were scrumptious! Our waiter, Pedro, and Antoinette made tonight extra-special. It was our 1st time to Portmagee and Valentia Island; we can't...wait to come visit again!! Ireland, we love you! Joel&KrissyUSAMore
