The pub was surprisingly busy but the staff coped well. Decent choice on the menu. Our two meals were very tasty and sensibly priced.

We ate here a couple of times while staying at the Moorings. The place is always busy, day and night. They even have a nice outdoor seating area across the street by the water. I had the Steak and Guiness Pie one night and the...More

We ate at the Bridge Bar on the two nights we stayed at the Moorings. The food was very tasty. We had fish and chips one night and steak the second night. We were pleased with the service and the food.

Ate here twice on our week touring Kerry. We had the fish and chips both times, the meal is huge and meant that \I couldn't manage a dessert - most unusual for me! Good beers too

Food was delicious, staff was great and responsive, in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Would recommend the crab claws whenever they're on the menu.

Super friendly staff who are attentive. Lovely place to have a meal if you’re staying/visiting the area. Between us we had the pasta, burger and beef and Guinness pie. All were delicious.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner and the Bridge Bar. They accommodated dietary requirements and had really fresh seafood. We had the Cod Florentine and Seafood stew.

Just reviewed this on the Moorings Page, as I didn't see this one. We ate here twice during the four days on Valentia Island. Great food, attentive service, reasonable prices.

Description
The Bridge Bar at The Moorings, Portmagee is open all year round. Great food served all day with traditional music at weekends. Trips to Skellig Michael can be arranged and packages are available from April to September. Cois Cuain gift shop is open from March to January. The Moorings is located in a fishing village with a working harbour, post office, general store, coffee shop, bar, restaurant overlooking Valentia Island. There's nothing more endearing than knowing that some of the Hollywood's biggest movie stars like Mark Hamill and Director J.J Abrams have visited the sleepy village of Portmagee, and even sat in the Bridge Bar local pub where Mark Hamill poured a pint of Guinness behind the bar. The Moorings was home to the pre-production team of the Star Wars VII movie and you can visit the room where all the magic took place and listen to the stories told by the staff.
