We were impressed by the easy way ordering through a tablet, like shown in my photos, with helping pictures of all options. Beside that there was nothing impressive about the food. I've had much better sushi in my life. We really enjoyed the options on the stick though. Expensive and the kitchen closes too early for dinner.

Great restaurant such fast service. Awesome system that you can order of an iPad. One of the largest sake collections and a great range of Japanese drinks. Every time we come they always have something new and amazing on the menu.

The quality of food is very average. Had the age dashi tofu, teriyaki chicken and various taste plates. I would say there are much better options in the area for dinner and definitely better Japanese elsewhere

Unfortunately the cost of corkage offsets the lovely food. $15 - per bottle. I won't be back for such a ripoff.

I went to Maedaya with my family, the restaurant was nice, and food came out very quickly. We ordered the Dragon roll sushi, grilled salmon, yakitori, and eel with pepper sauce. There was not much variety in terms of sushi. There were only 2 or 3 types of sushi rolls, and no raw fish sushi. A broader range of sushi... More

Maedaya is local for us and my husband (who wouldn't ordinarily choose Japanese food) even loved it. Ordering and checking on progress or compounding costs via their iPad, whilst a novelty, is very useful - especially if you're with a group and everyone is ordering progressively. Staff are attentive and food is fast, fresh, hot and tasty. This is not... More

We have been going here for years. Whilst always busy the staff are always friendly and the food is always amazing. They have just opened another shop in the city called Wagyu One.

Food was good, came in small portions as it is izakaya style. We had a reservation for 7 people and sat upstairs. There are no time limits for the upstairs seating. Can get a little smoky when you BBQ the food on your table. There's sake tasting available as well but I didn't try any as I don't drink alcohol.... More

We came for dinner - we were seated quickly and given a tablet to order from. The food arrived very quickly, and was really good. The restaurant was quite busy for a Tuesday night, which is always a good sign, and made for a great atmosphere. A must visit if you are in the area.
