This is my third visit to the Atrium for Sunday lunch. Each time it is a little bit quirkier but that is part of the appeal. Fantastic roast beef followed by bread and butter pudding for me, apple crumble for hubby. Polite waitresses and even the chef puts in an appearance when the rush dies down ... if you want... More

Visited for lunch before a cinema trip. Chose not to have a starter. Main was oa Barbary duck leg with veg and chips. The leg was beautifully cooked and the meat just fell off the bone. Dessert was roasted plums in port with clotted cream. It was sensational. Apparently the toilets were ice cold too. Chef served the dessert herself... More

Reviews are up and down for the Atrium and I'm the first to agree - previous visits have had great food, weird courses, arguments with the owner, ignorant service. I'm giving this visit 5/5 as this was a pre Christmas booking for four upstairs in a packed venue - considering the smallish kitchens, the cook-to-order came at a good period... More

The restaurant itself is very warm and cosy, with beautiful decor and friendly staff. The food is well-conceived, but unfortunately the execution was poor. The mussels had a strong fishy smell and were inedible. Salmon blinis were small, and slightly over-cooked. The pork belly meat was not of good quality, and the cabbage and bacon (which had been forgotten) was... More

We have a table booked for our Christmas dinner tonight at 5pm. Our taxi was a bit late and we where 5 mins later for our booking and as soon as we got here the owner told us we are later and 'you need to be gone by half 7'. The food was absolutely disgusting. I had patè for a... More

My favourite restaurant in Rochester. I love the fact it is small, quaint and personal. Food is superb and staff are very attentive. Great place.

We was booked in last night, having a lovely meal with family. A few of our meals were satisfactory but my sister in laws was awful. Her starter mussels in a ginger sauce was bland, she had only 4 mussels which we tiny the rest were closed. Why send that in for a customer knowing you can't eat closed shells.and... More

There were queues at all the food outlets, but the Atrium made room for me, on my own, sharing with a single lady, Chris. The food and conversation went well in the ambient atmosphere. Food was delicious, and the staff were excellent in their attentions to all the customers despite how busy they were.

The restaurant was warm and cosy and the very young waitresses were polite and helpful, however the food was very disappointing. Asparagus was underdone and almost inedible, the main course of honey pork was dry and difficult to eat and two of us left two thirds of it. The puddings were ok but not overwhelming. We probably won't be going... More
