I have praised this premises on this site before but this last visit was dire! The seating areas look tired and weary, the high chair needed a good clean. Numerous items were not available and the replacements were really very average. Sorry but you’ve lost...More

When regularly visiting Kent I like to walk from Dumpton along the seafront to Broadstairs and stop for a Bacon and Brie baguette on the way. Today every cafe along the walkway was shut and I ended up in The Old Curiosity Shop. What a...More

Very friendly atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble and the bacon sandwiches are the best in Kent! I like the familiarality, they know who I am when I walk in. Thanks Sam and team!

We loved it here and had lunch here both days we were in Broadstairs. This is a family run cafe and beach shop. The owner was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us to make sure we had an enjoyable lunch. We had baguettes...More

This must be the most unwelcoming venue in the town. 10am, Saturday, Feb 24, walked in to be ignored by charmless waiter, who continued to talk for a further five minutes to the only other couple in there. No 'good morning' or 'I'll be with...More

Once a month my friends and I meet here for coffee/tea and cake and are always very happy with the service and friendliness of the staff. We are working our way through the different varieties of cake on offer and haven't been disappointed yet !...More
