Great service - most obliging staff - great food, value for money. We arrived without a booking, on a busy night; but were accommodated in a most helpful and welcoming way.

I've visited The Local many times for drinks as well as lunch and dinner. Its a really beautiful pub that also offers excellent food at very reasonable prices. The Local has a great menu and the overall quality of the food and service is superb....This Bar / Restaurant has something for everybody and I would highly recommend you give them a visit when in Dungarvan.More

Hi, we recently dined here. Staff really lovely, service excellent, lovely pint of guinness but food average. We ordered a 10 oz what was supposed to be Angus striploin medium rare to share fir 3 children, what arrived was what appeared to be something like...you would buy in a vac pack in dunnes stores and it was well done with a big sinew running down through it, and to top it off the plate was cold. In fairness the excellent staff offered a new one, but with wet weather and hungry children we kept it. Its a pity as we would have eaten there again if the steak had been good. Front of house let down by kitchen.More

Lovely bar with very friendly staff, excellent service...and I never set foot in it! Due to Covid it's outdoor service only for the moment and The Local has prime outdoor space on Grattan Square, great I'd you get the weather! Lovely for a cold pint...in the sun and a lovely vibe in the evenings too. Really liked it.More

The local is a lively bar in the square. The friendliest staff ever, Covid compliant. Seems like the locals loved it too... definitely worth a shot or two..
