Based on the reviews I was excited to eat here. Giant portions of fried food that doesn't even taste good. The oil probably wasn't hot enough, resulting in a super greasy simplistic meals for all of us. No thanks.

Just returned from family break in Dungarven, would highly recommend The Moorings, lovely food, fantastic service and really nice rooms. We had the family room at the front overlooking the harbour. The food was to die for and the service even better. Great spot...keep up the good work guys. We will definitely be back. Would also recommend hiring bikes and... More

Staff really friendly and attentive - and there are so many of them that you're never waiting long to be served. Can get very busy at eating times so get there early. Food was great - big portions and very fresh. Will be back.

A picturesquely decorated quayside pub offering a good range of well cooked food at reasonable prices. Service prompt and attentive. Food good quality and tasty. Would visit again when I'm next in the area.

This is a real maritime-themed pub. A big boat steering wheel on the wall, a case showing the various sailing knots, and many other knickknacks. I nearly expected the barman to have a parrot on his shoulder, unfortunately he didn't. The food was very tasty and generously proportioned. It was served promptly and with a smile and good humour. Top class bar that oozes character from every orifice. Got the duck here and it was excellent. The Baileys tirimasu was a let down though. It was basically a sponge with a hint of Baileys in the cream. Will defo give it a second chance based on the mains and the charm of the place

Excellent spot - went with the family and had a great time. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Not particularly cheap, but well worth the money. Will definitely return next time I'm in Dungarvan. The Helvic Fish and Chips were amazing

I think Dungarvan offers great value for anyone, especially The Moorings, We couldn't believe that it would be so busy, in our town on a Friday night no-one is around. The food is good value, tasty and the fish was really fresh, we came for the weekend to cycle the Greenway. Well done to The Moorings for giving us such... More
