My cousin and I decided to take a last-minute trip! We arrived and asked at the stable for Fiona and got the warmest welcome! We checked into our pod and got a quick rundown of information needed! There are a tea and coffee hut beside...the pods and a shower/ toilet facility! Every time we used the toilet facility it was so warm! There are little heaters keeping that area warm which were a brilliant touch! We walked about and explored the area, and had dinner booked for 6 pm. Dinner was amazing we were seated straight away and the service was great!! We ordered way too much food!! The next day we had a lesson with Ron and it was so much fun!! He takes you straight back to the basics and teaches you everything you need to know. I have ridden before both English and western and my cousin is probably classed as an expert in English riding! But it wouldn't matter if you had never seen a horse before let alone learnt to ride. All-round it was great service, plenty of parking, very CLEAN and follows the guidelines with Covid 19. Lots of hand sanitising stations all over the place!! If you want a weekend away in the country and some peace and quiet! Book here, it was amazing, Ron, Fiona and Paul make the experience even better with their friendly manner!! We had a great weekend just the two of us, though it was incredibly affordable and reasonably priced! On the way home, we both agreed we would go back and it was so much fun with a group of friends. *We went in Autumn and the temp at night hit 0°c but there's a heater in the pod.More

We visited Drumcoura City today after a long break & we could not have been more pleased. From the front door & the sun drenched view of the lake, you can see that customers safety is a priority; from the multiple sanitisers throughout the premises,...well spaced tables & the face shielded staff regularly cleaning all touch points which helped put us at ease. The staff as always were so friendly & courteous, you can see the friendship & comadarie between them. If possible the food is even better. We had duck spring rolls & cauliflower buffalo wings with a mild but tasty blue cheese sauce (a perfect combination)for starters. For mains, the rack of bbq ribs were tender & juicy while the sauce on the chicken champ dish was "deliciously drinkable ". For kids, the pictured menu makes for an easier time when choosing, the pizzas were a big hit & "the best pizza ever" as per my 5 & 3 year olds. Cold beer on tap, a nice wine list & the cocktail menu means it can be hard to leave. Just want to say well done to all the staff, we see your hard work, we appreciate all you are doing to make a great dining experience & wish you all every success going forward. Cant wait to come back already.More

We visited Drumcoura for our first post Covid night out. We could not have chosen a better location for our first night out. As we arrived at 8 pm the lake that the restaurant overlooks was still and reflected the Leitrim countryside with a stillness...that calming nature that eased us into the evening. Upon arrival at the front doors there is a newly installed hand sanitiser station. As we entered we were greeted by a member of the waiting staff in face ppe shield who showed us to our table. The new layout of the dining space gives plenty of social distance spacing. The whole room smells clean and fresh without being clinical which gave us an added comfort in these strange times. For starters I had a perfect pint of Guinness that lasted all of 15 seconds. For food starters my partner chose potato skins with crispy bacon that he polished off with a smile while I had Mexican style nachos that he had to help me finish off. The nachos is definitely a generous portion that could easily be a shared starter. A wonderful combination of Mexican style beef mince on warm tortilla chips with peppers, tomatoes, spring onion, guacamole and red onion relish. This dish would go perfectly with a few cold bottles of beer any night of the week. The mains were the house special burger and steak. Served with a generous supply of hand cut, wonderfully seasoned chips. My partner could only complement the burger in the best terms. My steak was one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. I kid you not! Incredible char grilled flavour that was pushed right to the limit to achieve ultimate caramelisation on the meat and perfectly seasoned and cooked throughout. Accompanied with tomatoes, onions and mushrooms it was the perfect steak dish. I forewent on dessert because I didn’t want to lose any of the residual flavour of the steak. We could not have asked for a better meal on our first night out. We all thought that we became better home cooks during lockdown but tonight reminded us just how well the professionals can do things. Thank you to chef Keith and his team for a wonderful night. I hope everyone takes the time to experience this gem of a spot on the heart of Leitrim.More

Well.... we recently paid a visit to this hidden gem, it ticked all the boxes for us, Upon arrival the restaurant was warm and the roaring fire was very inviting as it was blowing a gale outside, staff were very friendly, the drink from the...tap was top quality and Monika the bar lady could sure pull the perfect pint of Guinness, we chose from an extensive menu of starters, mains and desserts, it was hard to decide on a choice as we liked the look of everything that was coming out of the kitchen and passing us by as we sipped out drinks, Compliments to the master chef Keith and his kitchen staff Team for a first class meal, you could not find food nicer cooked or presented in a five star hotel, after our meal we were in no rush to leave as we relaxed into our surroundings and enjoyed the chat with the resident cowboy Paul Duffy, 10 out of 10 to Drumcoura City, will be back very soonMore

It was a pleasure to bring my family and friends here for a meal. The place looked amazing and the atmosphere was great. But most importantly the food was outstanding including the hot chicken wing challenge. We will definitely be back there asap.
