We drove from Pozzuoli to the Amalfi Coast just to drop down to Cetara and check out this eatery. FYI lunch begins about 1330. Acquapazza features dishes made with anchovies and other local fish items. They started us off with a tasting of salted anchovies in olive oil which are prepared by the restaurant, so very fresh and delicious. We had a lovely meal here 4 years ago, hence decided to revisit Cetara and this place. The anchovies as a starter is great followed by delicious raw fish platter and fried cod on a pumpkin sauce. When travelling...we have found that you don't rule anything out. Maybe it is luck....doesn't matter. We thought we would try a tour of a restaurant that makes their own anchovies and colatura. Had lunch outside, service good-ish initially, but got slower as we went through courses. Had allowed over two hours in order to get on the return boat but even so had to persistently ask for coffee and the bill,several times.

Best meal we have had in 3 days of non-stop gourmet trials. Fabulous pasta and seafood fritto misto (deep fried squid and prawns). They also make their own colatura di alice (something like the Thai fish sauce except it's not that fishy or stinky). They sell it for 18 euros/50 ml? Maybe I heard wrong but that sounded way too... Good service, wonderful starters, fish with crazy waters was nice as well. We didn't make a reservation but they gave us an outside table which made us happy. Prices are reasonable. Anchovies with special salty sauce is a must eat, delicious!

The anchovy appetizer is the house specialty and worth a visit itself. Pasta dish with tuna was very good, but not outstanding. Very friendly service, owner stops by and is very nice and proud of local specialties. Great location and nice outdoor sitting. Prices reasonable.

Visited Cetera especially for this famous fish restaurant and we rewarded with an amazing dininig experience ! In short. Restaurant - clean, tasteful design, spacious. Service - unprecedented.
