We try to eat at Chile Viola each time we visit Santa Teresa. The food is consistently good, and the service and setting are wonderful. They make delicious pasta, and their meat dishes are good as well. This visit was no exception. Highly recommended.

Entry decoration nice, the beverages are good, excellent wine selection per glass. Chianti was very good, not much beer option. Entries very good loved tartare and carpaccio. Food.... half of table dishes were just average, octopus and beef were seasoned properly and claimed a satisfied dish, but pasta was saggy and sauce flavor was totally separated from the pasta. Deserts... More

A very welcoming family run place that caters for all types with emphasis on quality European style dishes with Costa Rican influence. Staff were very attentive and even the chef (Emiliano - sp?) came out to us for a chat. The place had a pleasing ambience with quirky lighting and felt immediately at ease. A place to go for a... The best italian food I've had for a long time! Pears with pecorino, Buffala mozzarella ravioli with butter and sage! To die for! We also had the kaluha/bailiys dessert that was so delicious! Ginger Mojito... also very good and very large! I can really recommend this restaurant! Nice red tables and a good atmosphere also by the way!

It's not necessarily the most inviting looking restaurant from the road and it's located directly on an unmade, dusty road ... but don't let that put you off! The homemade Italian food was fabulous, the service really friendly and there was a vibrant atmosphere (including live music on the evening that we were there). There is an "upper terrace" which... We ate here twice, if that explains how amazing it was on a 9 day trip. They have a huge menu, which not every place in Santa Teresa has and were willing to make substitutions and accommodate my picky taste. We didn't need reservations either night, and the ambiance, service, and food was incredible!
