a super place to buy special jams, cookies, dried fruits and all things yummy; One can also have a bite to eat here but due to time constraints didn't indulge. Nice place to buy local produce.

Right on the R62 coming from Ashton and adjoining Montagu dried fruits is this farm shop and restaurant. Beautiful surroundings to sit in the garden. Great choice of eats and drinks. Service is good and the food was simple and good. Worth a visit.

Best toasted cheese in South Africa, very good friendly service. I make a habit of stopping in here on my way to Cape Town and on my return journey to Johannesburg every year.

Outraged I was! Yes busy time of year. I am still on leave with no 'in a hurry' bone in my body. Took my time walking through the stall thought of buying some stuff and took some water at least for the road to our accommodation, rememhering what I want once we return... I will NEVER return. People were complaining... More

A lovely garden for the kids. The food is decent but the quiche was not good. Yummy burger and chicken pie though.

Arrived to have a look at some proudly home grown South African products only to find that most of the dried fruits and nuts (Montagu) are actually diluted with irradiated USA products, (so not really "raw") as well as other countries. Our lunch seating area is lovely under shaded trees and children's play area but the food was very average.... More

This is the ideal location in Montagu when travelling with children. Great seating under the trees, watching the kids enjoying themselves on the playground. And good food. I really enjoyed the lamb curry.

With all the road works and being held up for a long time this was a delightful stop. We had out of country friends with us and they remarked that this compares with the best from where they live. Will stop here again

There is quite a bit of road construction so you are likely to be caught up in the stop/go activity. The may test your patience so just as you enter Montagu, you will see this little shop. Dont be fooled as behind this shop is a beautiful tea garden and they serve the most heavenly scones. The service in the... More
