Nice location , overlooking the harbour , nice food too, with interesting off beat menu choices for example haggis and black pudding fritters...lovely. Other choices are available . Service was good and prices reasonable
Nice little cafe no booking needed menu suitable for all pallettes as is the prices. Located on the harbour road so eats with a view also. Service was very good as was the food the fact it was busy not with footfall trade but with...phone calls for their takeaway service shows that the locals value it and if its good enough for them ......... They also do a lovely range of yummy looking cakes so would be ideal also just for a cuppa.More
Enjoyed a lovely lunchtime visit to this compact, busy & lovely cafe. We enjoyed delicious homemade chicken & rice soup with tasty fresh bread. We followed this with a tea, flat white coffee & homemade cake. Service was warm, attentive & welcoming. Covid restrictions were...adhered too and toilet was clean & tidy also. Clearly this is a popular cafe in Tarbert, as it was used by both local folk & visitors alike. We will return next time we visit the area & highly recommend.More
Go on!. Order the Cullen Skink followed by chorizo and local scallops, You won't get better anywhere however much more you pay. Burgers and salads looked great too and the desserts delicious.
Ca'Dora is friendly, relaxed and fun, very reasonably priced and the food fabulous....There's no booking (and it's a popular place) so choose your arrival time accordingly and there's a BYOB approach to alcohol.
Visited due to locals recommendation and we were not disappointed. Food was really reasonably priced and tasty. Mac and cheese very good and the fish pie also got a thumbs up. Seemed very popular which did not surprise.
Food is generally excellent, but some of the fish dishes are approaching top restaurant quality.
The service and the "craic" is also there to be enjoyed, and for someone visiting whether alone or with friends, this makes you feel welcome and want to return.
Having...sat-in, and latterly due to COVID restrictions, had to carry-out many meals and snacks, it is apparent that both front and back of house have a great affinity and genuine interest in their customers, making this a must try for anyone passing through or staying in the area.
I travel extensively with my work and have dined in some high-end establishments, but for quality, value, ambiance and "craic", the Cafe Ca'Dora is right up there.More
