Stopped here for lunch, given a lovely table in front of the window with a view of the square. Ordered four tapas style dishes, chorizo, croquette, salad and white asparagus. A bottle of Navarran rose was only 8.50 euro, great service, delicious food and beautiful...view. Very happy.More

Had lunch here and its position in the main square is just beautiful. Went upstairs and we had an absolutely fabulous local rioja from Pedraza for only € 8.50 a bottle, very light and fruity. Wife had the pork tenderloins which turned out to be...3 yes 3 slabs of extremely well cut pork tenderloin a and some chips which she couldn't fully eat and only €10.50 lucky I was there to finish them off. I had the peppers and olive salad with tuna on for €9 and was a little disappointed but it was tasty. Overall I would come again even though they charge €0.95 a person for bread (it was amazing and still warm) and 10% service charge. The views from upstairs were great and we also took the rest of the bottle out to drink in the sun on the tables and chairs outsideMore

Lovely restaurant with great local roast lamb or baby pig. This is a very busy restaurant so be sure to book in advance especially at the weekend. We ate sopa castellana and roast lamb for two. The lamb was perfectly cooked and the soup was...lovely and warming on a pretty cold day. Also the staff were very friendly and efficient even though they were really busy. It was very good value for just over €50 (without alcohol).More

Went there on a weekday for lunch when lots of other options are closed and was surprised by the unpretentious and elegant décor. We were four adults and ordered 1/4 baby lamb and a portion of baby pig plus a salad and French fries and...ended up stuffed. The portions are generous and the food delicious, cooked in a brick oven right inside the dining room. The house wine is excellent but the desserts almost stole the show. You will never know this is an excellent choice for a meal just by looking at the outside but go for it without hesitation.....and thank me later.More

We had a delicious local meal of lamb, slow cooked and Gazpacho starters. Possibly the best lamb I ever had. Remarkable and genuine building in a square like from 200 years ago, amazing. Staff really nice. We both really enjoyed it and were lucky enough...to thank the chef in person, he was very modest!More

We had a beer inside the bar to escape the heat, before sitting outside in the square as night fell for a tapas feast. Delicious lamb cutlets, chorizo and beans and much more. Every morsel delicious. And great service. It's a lovely place to sit...as people come to the plaza mayor for an evening stroll.More

The place is just wonderful. Nice to go all year round. I recomend you make a reservation before going. Good sirloin, good lamb, good "matanzas" y "judiones". Fine wine selection.

The restaurant overlooks the famous main square fro the first floor. The menu is not extensive, and the focus is very much on traditional, simple food. The cochinillo was indeed outstanding, and the grilled hake was huge and tasty. Noodle soup was OK: the charcuterie...selection excellent. we were amused when an unpeeled orange was served as dessert: the local tart was very good, however. Service with a smile and good value.More
