This is the best restaurant to have lamb at Pedraza. I have been there many times with my family. More or less 10 years going to these place. For us a mandatory stop while in Madrid. A must in the area. Delicious! Excellent service!
We were visiting the town and stepped into a little bar for a coffee. Talked to the bartender and asked where the best place in town was to eat. He said El Jardín. We took him up on it and we were so glad we...did. The food was simply amazing. We had sheep cheese with roasted peppers for starters and suckling pig for the main dish - delish! And the service was outstanding. When the waitress found out I was gluten free she offered so many options - fresh gluten free hot bread - made it to order! And then for dessert she offered a plethora of options - we chose the gluten free hot brownie. Amazing! All I can say is we are so glad we found this place - catered to us, even when they were packed with customers. Thanks for topping off this amazing experience, visiting such a cute little town, and making us feel special!More
I had a dinner with my Spanish friends here in Predaza. The booked the “cochinillo”. I never tried before and it was really good. We had some starters and everything was ok: nothing so complex but really genuine and rural. Suggested place
We were greeted by super friendly waitress with angel wings on her back. Eating in the garden was a collection of Roman soldiers and monks (on a team building exercise from the local museum apparently) .
Shady garden with lovely views. We hadn't reserved a...table but she quickly produced extra table and chairs and squeezed us in.
Thoroughly enjoyable experience. The restaurant specialises in lamb and pork. My husband wanted to eat there and I am vegetarian. No problem. Had gazpacho soup, then roasted peppers (the latter delicious, huge portion with crusty bread to mop up the juices) .
Manchego cheese to follow. As anyone who's vegetarian knows, Spain is a difficult country to eat out in. This was delicious.
And the suckling pig was deemed excellent also.
A great place to have dinner - super views in a wonderful garden away from the main square - traditional well cooked food, good service - what's not to like. We stayed at the hotel which is also owned by the same people, just a...walk away (sorry cannot remember name) and this was great too. We were on a walking holiday with a donkey, so this bit of culture and luxury was welcome!
El Jardin specializes in whole baked succle pigs and lambs. The six persons in my party was divided 50/50 wether the pig or lamb was best. Personally, I preferred the pig.
Chorizo, cheese and salad for starters with a fantastic wine. Cheese cake and icecream...for desserts. Yummy!
There is a parking place close to the keep. Go clockwise past the keep and in a few minutes you are there.
They've got a rose garden and an outdoor dining area in the middle.
This place is really worth a visit!More
I would really like to say a big thank you to this restaurant. I rang ordering lamb for 2 - 2.30pm. I had guests from Peru (not renounded for their punctuality). After seeing Segovia we arrived at 4.10pm and incredibly they honoured us by allowing...us to sit down and eat.. You made our day. My guests loved Pedraza and the lamb, I have been to this restaurant a few times and have always eaten very well.
A big thumbs up for you all.!More
We was looking for a table whit not reserve. The invites to look in other restaurants. The don't offer wait drinking somethings, only say not possible today. We don't know the quality of the meal, but the service terrible
