We took our family of four here twice during our stay in the region. The food was great and friendly service was much appreciated. We would highly recommend it.

I ate here more than 4 times during my stay in Tuscany. The Pici all'aglione - is superb. The wines comes from the castle above (Castello di Meleto) and are from I understand - really good (I don't drink, but my wife told me so). :-)

We got there a little early fir dinner, they told us the kitchen needed another 30 minutes or so to prep, we said no problem so they seated us and took our drinks order. They did have a very limited wine selection, which was interesting being that they are in the heart of wine country. When the kitchen did open... More

Arrived here one lunch time as part of a small group. Ordered from the lunch menu, my partner had pasta which was ok but my pizza was very poor and tasteless. We ordered several drinks as well as desserts, but as a previous reviewer mentioned the bill is not itemised making it very difficult to decipher. Several items from the... More

The food here is good but the management practices leave a lot to be desired. We were a party of 14 and were led to believe that if we ordered 'family style' ordering large platters of food that we would get a price break. We didn't. The owner pushed meat specials that foolishly we didn't ask the price of -... More

We stopped by this restaurant after visiting a winery close by. We were unsure of what to expect but we had great food and service. Pizzas were tasty as well as the salami platter. We sat on the patio which was a little uneven due to the fresh pea gravel but we managed to level out our seats.

A large party booked for dinner/drinks. Very basic food - bruschetta + 4 types of pasta - which took ALL evening to arrive. The worst SLICE of pizza I have ever tasted - Tesco microwaved tasted better! The charge for this was 20 euro. Owner could not have been any more rude. …insulting many of his customers. He insisted on... More

In the height of the Tuscan summer when you just need to relax and have a great meal at a reasonable price, La Fornace Di Meleto should be a destination, not an ad hoc visit. The new owners have done a wonderful job. We rocked up as a party of 12 having driven by several times over our 2 week... More
