This friendly restaurant turned out to be just what we needed during our visits to Arona. We had walked from our hotel just by the statue of St Carlo, and planned to walk back after our lunch. The varied menu had lots of choice for both my husband and myself, and the local wine was just the perfect accompaniment to... More

We called in for a set Lasagne lunch and enjoyed it so much we went back for dinner. Advised by manager to book (Saturday evening) and glad we did. Food was perfect on both visits and whilst the service was not perfect it was genuine. Would go again if back in the area.

We would not recomment this restaurant as a tourist. The service is so bad if you don't speak Italian. Too bad for this restaurant because the food is realy good.

We have eaten at this restaurant three times. Once inside and twice at the tables outdoors. The servers are more mature and reserved. Don't let this stop you from eating there. The food is fresh and some of the fish is from Lago Maggiore. The prices are reasonable and the portions are sufficient. Dessert is a must in the local... More

Normal Lunch during Holiday trip to Arona at Lago Maggiore. Food so far good and tasty...only service can be improved, especially for families. Looks like families for lunch are not the preferred clients. Maybe for dinner better...

We had a terrific time dining out for lunch with our kids ages 4 and 1 at this restaurant in Arona. The location is terrific, across the street from the water, with covered outdoor seating, and next to many other restaurants so you can walk around a bit and choose a place that suits you. We ordered the proscuitto e... More

Just recently back from a four day business trip to Arona. Found this little gem on our first night, was that impressed with the quality of food we went back there on our last night. A very comprehensive menu which would be better suited in English for non Italian speakers, more by luck than judgement we chose wisely with the... More

The Piazza del Popolo was the port until a few years ago. Now it seems to be a magnet for restaurants and I would have been happy to have gone to most of them. We checked out menus, opening hours etc and went for the Barcaiolo, the name of an old type of boat. Our table was near a window... More

the extensive menu. There is no way that a place can have quality ingredients if there is so much on the menu. Yes, you will find something and read in English. Yes, close to water, but this is not worth the price and waste of a day on holiday. There are so many others to choose from . The pass... More

They have a very extensive menu' and if you enjoy beef this is the place for you. The meat is excellent and well prepared to your liking. Very nice atmosphere and right on the lake in Arona. Very nice wine selection and dessert menù as well.
