We love Mr dish

Just returned from a week's stay in malia and we always visit Mr dish. Mr dish is a family run business maria and her family's hospitality is always excellent we're always greeted with a warm friendly welcome Mr dish has a wide variety of food available all fresh and home made from Maria's mum (chef) all at very good prices. Would definitely recommend a pina colada cocktail from Maria brother Mathew. Will definitely be back next year. Thanks again Maria & family ....yammas

Lovely home made food served by lovely friendly people

Ate here on our first day in Marlia, because the front of house lady, Maria, greeted us with such warmth and directed us to a store that sold something we hadn't packed. She later provided us with information on other local venues to visit. That evening we ate there and met the chief, Marie's mother who home made food was delicious and inexpensive. The venue was clean and welcoming. On a subsequent visit, we where introduced to Marie's father, brother and small nephew, who where just as hospitable and friendly.

Great Place to Eat and Drink

I visited Mr Dish a few times during my stay in Malia. Once for breakfast, once for lunch and once for my evening meal, as well as popping in for the odd drink. Breakfast is the best in Malia - I did a create your own one, which with a tea and a juice was less than 15 Euros. My evening meal was lovely too - went for the Gyros plate, which was such a large portion I struggled to finish. It's a family run restaurant, and the service is fab. Great Wifi, air con too + lots of screens if you want to watch sport or something. I'll definitely be returning to Mr Dish next April when I'm in town.

Excellence all around

We have visited Mr Dish several times in the last couple weeks that we are in Malia. Their homemade food is delicious, fresh and so tasty. The staff is with a smile on their face all the time, plus so helpful with directions and recommendations were to go. It’s so nice when you find people like to help you when you are away from home. You will not be disappointed with your visit to Mr Dish.

Family run and wonderful food

I was in Crete and found Mr Dish consistently good with fantastic breakfasts and dinners. They are not expensive and the lamb chops I ate were probably the best I've ever had. The staff are lovely and genuinely welcoming with very good English. A place I would definitely revisit if I''m back in Malia.

What a lovely place to eat.

This gem of a place is very close to the hotel we stayed at and we were in for food a few times. The first thing that is obvious is how clean the place is, it is absolutely spotless. We found Maria to be very pleasant and friendly as were the rest of the family that we met over out visits. The service was excellent and the food arrived piping hot and was clearly freshly cooked and of good quality. Eating here was a pleasant experience and Gillian and I highly recommend it.

Best pork and chicken souvlaki and gyros in crete

This restaurant is the best i have been in crete. We ordered mix for 2 which you can customise. The pork souvlaki and the lamp chops are soft and delicious. They melt in your mouth. The chicken and pork gyros are juicy and tasty. The pita break and fries are soft and fresh. I would definitely come back again here. Thank you Maria for the generous hospitality

Fantastic Greek hospitality

Visited this restaurant every day of our holiday. Food was spot on, from the full English breakfast (English sausage and bacon) to the gyros. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Can’t recommend enough.

Was expecting better

Went for Gyros pitta having read the reviews and I was disappointed tbh The Gyros was loaded with chips and then more chips. Hardly any chicken in it. 6.90 for the Gyros 4.50 large beer 3.50 coke Hoping to find better elsewhere

We visited Mr Dish often during our 2 week holiday either for drinks,food or both,where do I start.............Marie what a lovely lady and a minefield of Information and her daughter such a lovely girl,then there was Mathew the brother who joined them after his restaurant closed due to being end of season such a lovely family. The breakfasts were fantastic as we're scrambled eggs and omelette. We also sampled the meat platter,salmon,greek fish n chips,mousaka and meatballs (sorry forgot greek name) all were delicious if I had one gripe it was frozen chips not sure if this was an end of season thing? But that's the only thing I disliked, if your ever in Malia or surrounding area get yourself there for good food and to meet lovely hardworking family xxxx

Dear Mr Dish, I wanted to express my utmost gratitude for the remarkable dining experience I had at your esteemed Greek restaurant during my holidays, As someone who was trying different food abroad for the first time, I was absolutely delighted by the exquisite flavors and impeccable presentation of each dish. Not only tha, I was impressed with the impeccable and kind customer service we received. It was truly a culinary adventure that I thoroughly enjoyed. Amazing restaurant

Amazing food lots of choice, went frequently throughout the holiday at various times of the day always plenty of options. Staff are very happy and friendly even when just passing the restaurant. Clean environment. Definitely will return next year.

Out of this world

been coming to Malia for 23 years and there's no other place i'd rather go for food. Food is always quickly served so no waiting about with rumbling tummies. Maria is so warm and friendly as is her husband. They always make you feel so welcome. Time to go home to England but here's to many more holidays in Malia to come.

Great breakfast

Visited here due to the rave reviews on here and Facebook. First time was for breakfast, hubby ordered the massive breakfast, wow it is massive and he said was delicious, I ordered a beans n egg on toast and this was also delicious. The young girl waitress was lovely and d polite. The place is very clean. As breakfast had been good, we decided to go for an evening meal later in the week. Hubby ordered spaghetti bolognaise and I had the baked Feta with peppers n onions. My dish was lovely, unfortunately the bolognaise wasn’t, it was VERY dry and had no sauce, it was basically mince and spaghetti, tasteless too. I’d recommend for breakfast and maybe snack type meals but not for an evening meal.
