We wer going for a drive and pulled in here, but were horrified to see all the buses. However, the staff are extremely efficient. We stopped to eat on the way back. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. We would go back any day

We stopped here for lunch. The food selection was limited but adequate. I had fish, potatoes, spicy rice salad, and carrot cake, all good. We also tried the beef Thai chicken, fries, and green salad, also all good. One can select prepared sandwiches if in a hurry or to take out.

We were part of the Intercity bus which stopped here for a lunch break. The decor was really nice and there was an international 'money tree'. I didn't really eat anything as I didn't like such hurried lunches as part of the bus rest stop but my friend had a piece of fried fish for $7 (well, tasted like fried... More

This place appeared out of nowhere, we had been driving for a while, so the stop present a lovely break. Drinks and snacks were the order of the afternoon. They were busy cleaning up (after what I assume was a couple of tour buses), but the staff took their time to ensure our needs were met appropriately. The lemon cup... More

Great place to stop for a snack with good food and service. However, it is a regular stop for coaches and once 3 or more arrive it becomes chaotic.

A great place for a stop off in the journey south towards Wanaka. Quick service, friendly staff, good coffee and clean facilities. This rest stop cafe is perfectly placed on the journey with lots of parking and plenty of seating inside and out and views to the mountains across the road that are a real pleasure.

Good place to stop for a stretch, clean toilets and good coffee. Decent pies. We tried a venison pie.

This quirky cafe/roadhouse has a real Midwest American feel and appears in the middle of nowhere! It's huge and have loads of seating inside and out. We were told to stop here for a pie and weren't disappointed. The chicken & veg and venison pies (Jimmy'a brand) were great. Full of good ingredients and fresh. Self service is odd but... More

Our tour bus stopped for a facilities break and quick bite to eat. Food was okay, reasonably priced. It's decorated with lots of flags and outdoor equipment. Rest rooms were adequate, clean. Nice little gift shop too.
