A great experience sitting in the back yard on a summers days with sea chowders and Pinot gris. Frustrating when you drive from Wanaka or Queenstown and find the destination closed for a wedding. two times. Whats wrong with community radio Wanaka and Queenstown to let people know. At $8,000 venue cost before any marque costs (up to $4.000) thats... More

A friend casually mentioned this place and we're so glad we made the time to visit. It's like stepping back in time, so give yourself permission to cozy up next to one of several warm fireplaces with a beverage, some snacks, and your friends and family. Don't miss the fried pickles, or "frickles", they're amazing!

We were not at all disappointed with our return visit after three years. As a wedding was being held that afternoon we quickly ordered our lunch. We started with the bruschetta as an appetizer and were blown away by the freshness of the tomatoes. My main was a very rich and satisfying sea food chowder swimming with fresh sea food... More

This is a great historic spot to come see and have a drink! We had lunch while we visited and wish we had skipped it and gone elsewhere. The food was very average and we waited over 30 minutes after we ordered for it. We only ordered the seafood chowder and their salad of the day, so I would've expected... More

The history of this hotel bar and cafe is pretty cool. The food and service, however, were pretty poor. It took us 40 minutes to get our salad and chowder, and those aren't exactly items that take a while to make. And they weren't anything special once we finally got them. I'd recommend going for a beer and possibly a... More

such an iconic and beautiful place. it's our third time visiting the cardrona hotel for a bite to eat and a drink. The place just oozes history and charm and has a stunning large garden area where you can relax in the sun while the kids play in the swings. You simply can't drive past this place without stopping for... More

The restaurant of the Cardrona hotel is a little hideaway in the middle of the mountains. The garden is the perfect place to chill out, sipping a cold beer or a good glass of wine. The kids have a great time and the parents can relax and enjoy the food

Awesome place suits everyone ! Great meals and beautiful venue outside. Great ambiance meals are big expensive but you can't fault the whole venue. Leather studded lounges fireplaces deer antlers rose gardens and comfortable outdoor bean bags too...
