We ordered 2 pizzas - Kredenc & Fijok. Mushrooms, asparagus, and artichokes were like from a can. The dough was like arabic bread. The waiters presented indifference to us. We recommend not to bother them

Pizza took a while. A long while. Order came out wrong. Taste was meh. It was just straight forward pizza order. Sorry for not having better review
A very popular restaurant, always seemed to be full. Ventured inside to discover that the upstairs area and glass greenhouse area were full but the downstairs area was virtually empty. The staff ignored us until we found a table and sat down. The drinks were...brought very quickly. Most of the group had tomato soup, which wasn't as hot as they would have liked, but tasty all the same. The Pizzas took about 40 minutes to arrive but as they were made and cooked to order that wasn't too bad and as Pizzas go they were large, filling and quite good. The decor downstairs is mining orientated (there is a mine shaft on the Glazenberg adit at the side of the restaurant and it is an ancient mining town) and quite interesting, the seats are made from mining trucks and the various pictures, notices and artefacts relate to the history of the area. The Slovaks seem keen on Italian restaurants and this one is well worth a visit.More
Cakali sme na pizzu 40 min. Ceny podla mna vobec nezodpovedaju kvalite- resp. aj kvalite obsluhy, prostrediu, atmosfere. Hluk, nefajciarska cast od fajciarskej je oddelena detskym kutikom akoby vo forme sachty(wtf?). Po 30 min sme poprosili pani casnicku, ci vie zistit kedy dostaneme pizzu. Odpovedala neprijemne,ze maju...vela rozvozu. Uz nikdy. Skuste ine pizzerie radsej. / We have waited for pizza more than 40 minutes. Non smokers part and smokers part is parted by the tunnel used for kids to play in(wtf) so it is like divide a pool for people who pee in it and people that dont. Service is very impolite and not kind. There are several better places in Banska Stiavnica:).More
First off - it's priced way above the quality level. Pizza tastes below average at best. No flavor to be found in the dough or the tomato sauce base. The kitchen is holding by a thread, collapsing under pressure. If there are take-out orders coming,...you are informed about an hour waiting time (!!! absolutely unacceptable). Heistily prepared pie came burnt to a crisp on the edges. As a customer I really don't care to be a part of the staff's bickering about who's zone am I sitting in and who I can order from. And somehow - they managed to pull me right in, assigned waitress giving me a stink eye for ordering from her faster colleague. Spare yourself from disappointment and avoid this establishment.More
The city of Banska Stiavnica, surrounding villages and the hills are so beautiful that hardly anyone goes there for culinary experience. In this regard, Mestianska Pizzeria fits right in. It offers large portions for rock-bottom prices for indiscriminate tourists who don't mind the wait. The...restaurant is located smack in the middle of the town and features a unique ambiance with its mining memorabilia and a greenhouse-like terrace. It offers a large selection of pizzas, which you can get for under 10 Euros, including a large beer or two. The pizzas themselves are fairly large with plenty of toppings, and usually very well done. The staff is friendly and attentive. The only downside, and it's a big one, is the wait time. It generally takes 40 to 50 minutes for the pizza to be made. The staff warns you about this, but that doesn't make the wait any shorter. As such, this restaurant is ideal for large groups of people who can spend their time socializing; for single customers or couples it may get boring in here. Still, this has become my refueling station at least once per year when I visit the city and its surroundings.More
Bad service, food of poor quality (tomato soup like from ketchup), warm beer, long waiting (50 minutes for a pizza)....
Visit to this restaurant was because of Sunday lunch. About place - terrace restaurant is very nice, adorned with various pictures from the surrounding area. The atmosphere is very pleasant and soothing. But when it is too hot outside, inside it is too stuffy and...not help even open windows. Since the restaurant was full , food preparation takes 30 minutes. But it is understandable with so many people. Portions were large and tasty. Fruity mineral water was also a nice variation to the main meal. The restaurant has a nice view of the city.More
We visited the pizza bar while touring around the city. They offered great pizzas and an awesome price. Take a look at the memorabelia on the walls from the mining era and be sure ti try the beers.
There were 5 of us all having different pizzas, all fantastic! The staff were also great, nothing to fault on our visit.
Great soups and pizza, however nothing else. No meat, traditional food, just great pizzeria. :) Waiting times for food might be around 40 minutes. Very kind and nice staff.
we choosed this restaurant because of great location. unfortunatelly thats all. we supposed to wait for one pizza 40min (and restaurant was not overcroweded when we arrived!), it was poor quality, not good ingredients. with this menu i dont recommend to go there, choose something...different.More
We chose the restaurant mostly due to nice apearance of the terace only to find out that it is a part of the restaurant for smokers. Being quite hungry we decided to stay. The rest of the interior is quite dull and lacks any thought...in decor. The service was ok, the prices were average, but the food (pizzas) were not that good - raw in places, burned in other places, I can not recommend this place.More
All pizzas we have tried were tasing quite acid: cleary cheap ingedients from can. Taste of cheese was not helping. Positive: nice location and good terace seats. Service and prices: average
Horrible! Horrible waiters! We have sit 15 minutes and after that we have gone away :). Never more... In city are much better places.
