Very good typical Corsican food. The service was friendly and good (not always the case in Corsica).

The food was the perfect combination of local, simple and very tasty. The atmosphere was nice and chill with a host and hostess that really wanted to make us feel at home. Perfect dinner!
We were warmly greeted even though our French and Italian language was poor. The restaurant had a lovely family atmosphere and the servings were generous. The waiter took time to explain the dishes and wine. The food was lovely. We are fussy as we both...cook but we could tell the food was genuine and made with effort and care. We loved the terrine, lasagne, boar stew and all the rest. We were served delicious complimentary liqueurs after dinner. This place is highly recommended and is a contrast to some of the more touristy places which do not care about what they are serving. Thank you very much for the wonderful meal!More
Excellent food for a good price. Manager and family are awesome and super pleasant. We had a great time eating there and talking to the owner of the restaurant
Nice little place for some tasty food. Clean, good menu choices and fairly priced. Service was prompt and friendly.
The food I got served was the best I got during my stay in Bonifaccio. Service was good and I didn’t had to wait very long. One day was very crowdy, the next more relaxed. To be recommended.
Great setting, wonderful food, fast service but not rushed. Thoroughly recommend (but gets full quickly after opening)
Una cena perfecta! Comida muy rica, tipica y servizio muy amable… there is a reason, why this place is number one in Bonifacio!
Where better to discover Corsica’s cornucopia of tasting delights and heartwarming hospitality than La Bodega Bonifacio. Host Jean-Marie is “un vrai Corse” who welcomed us warmly and advised us well on both food and wine. A memorable experience not to be missed in Bonifacio after...working up an appetite hiking up to the old town!More
A chillyThursday evening in April, at the beginning of the season in Bonifacio. We were staying at the Roy d’Aragon down by the marina. The climb up the series of ramps and steps to the citadel and the old town is not for the faint-hearted...but completely worthwhile, not just for the sight-seeing but also the wonderful reception at La Bodega. The first to arrive (NB one can’t reserve), we were greeted by the patron almost as old friends. After our apéritifs we asked for the Corsican sampler dish which is very generous in quantity but also has many of the basic Corsican specialities including an assortment of charcuterie, pâté, and aubergines à la bonifacienne plus others. One of the nicest things was that when we said we were not conversant with Corsican wines, the patron suggested a choice ( a red patrimonio from Domaine Montemagni) which accompanied our dish to perfection. Dessert was a ‘moelleux au citron’ with a mandarine sorbet. Delicious! After the meal the patron offered us a glass of one of his home- made liqueurs. This was a memorable evening in a tiny restaurant with barely 20 places, but such good value. Unmissable if a table is available for you! NB NO CREDIT CARDSMore
Amazing! Freshly made real Corsican nutella. I had the lamb which was incredible. The owner of the establishment was such a kind gentleman. Total Corsican experience. Spoke with the locals and tourists alike. Outstanding food.
We had lunch at la bodega a couple of days ago, we tried the degustation corse and I highly recommend that dish. It is quality food. Arrive early as there is no reservation possible and it is very small
We spent a delightful evening at La Bodega last night and are pleased to report that all the older complimentary reviews are still correct and did not lead us astray. We shared the wild boar stew and the tasting plate (which contains a little of...everything!) and a 50cl bottle of Sartene rose... all was excellent. The host was quite pleasant and helpful. We wish our stay in Bonifacio were long enough to eat here again!More
really in a small corner, but the food surprise us. we could not expect better taste after a long walk in Bonifacio. the boss was really nice guy, I know it's a late commentaire, however if it's good, never too late to tell everybody!
Wonderful food, served with charm and humour. Recommend the assiette de degustation. My wife’s lamb was perfectly cooked, and the children split an entrecôte which was the right decision - it was enormous!
