Cheap drink on the best beach

Best beach and cheapest drink, food is not bad but what is really bad is the service and the seats. Chairs are really uncomfortable and waitress forgot twice my order.

Service Ok, food Ok, prices are fair but not for what you get. Place was dirty, empty but slow service. Beach front, nice beach to swim. They have a hotel, friends stayed there, they said it was good.

One of the better places on the Island

The drink prices are reasonable here. We only ate side dishes and had drinks but I would make this a regular stop for sure. The beach front is probably the best on the island.

Nice location but that’s all!!

After reading the reviews we thought it really cannot be that bad so decided to give it a boost by visiting. A simple order for two people in an otherwise empty restaurant should really take no more than half an hour but after an hour we paid for our drinks and left. Don’t be fooled by the location and try it, there is Caribbean time and wasting your time!!

Sat 45 minutes and not even acknowledged

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the first time, after 6 months in Nicaragua, that I’ve received anything but warm hospitality. We just arrived on big corn and after a long day of travel, we were starving. We walked about 2 km from our hotel along the beach and found this restaurant. It was dinner time. We sat down and waited for about 15 minutes. There was what appeared to be 2 waiters/waitresses behind the bar and at least 1 waitress sitting at the bar on her phone. They knew we were there but never acknowledged us. I finally got up and asked if I could take some menus. We sat for another 15 minutes or so. We even closed our menus thinking they’d take the hint we were ready to order. Another 10 minutes goes by. Finally the waitress got up from the bar. She walked 2 feet, turned up the music on the speaker and then sat back down at the bar! We sat for 45 minutes and we weren’t even acknowledged, just looked at occasionally. We finally got up and left. We ended up at Arena restaurant and it was fabulous! Just want to let the owners know, you need new staff! The date was April 29.

Fallen asleep waiting: avoid

We popped in for a beer and a light lunch with a simple order: a burger and a straightforward noodle soup. Initial attention was good, as it should have been given there were NO other customers at any time in our visit. We enjoyed our beer. Over one hour after ordering food, the burger came out NOT as ordered and no sign of the soup. At that point we gave up, much as an earlier reviewer did, and went to order next door. Such a shame as the venue is terrific. Something seriously wrong with this place.

Terrible service

Absolutely the worst service. There were about 5 customers and 5 barmans in the restaurant. I ordered beer and sit here about 20 minutes and got nothing. Then i gave up. Of course they wanted money for the beer when i was leaving. Avoid this restaurant, there are others on this beach.

I was and still amazed by the staff . Never , anywhere I travel I encounter staff SO UNFRIENDLY Simply the staff , including the manager should be replaced . Beyond pathetic . Expect very bad service

Flies in our chicken ribs

PICNIC CENTER RESTAURANT Hello everyone, I am making this publication to report the bad treatment that my family and I received, by the Staff of the Pic-Nic Center Restaurant in Corn Island on August 10. I ordered 2 snacks, 1 of chicken, the other chicken fingers, when we were eating and almost finishing we found a fly between the ribs of the chicken and that piece is the one that my partner was eating, you can imagine how disgusting that is and even worse our baby had already eaten from that same piece. I know that many will say that doesn't kill anyone, blah blah but my point is the following when I called the waitress to report the incident she didn't say a word and just took the plate away, when she returned I asked her Soo then, and her responds was well I'm waiting for an answer to see what can be done and I asked the question to see if she was at least going to apologize and nothing. Well, she returned to the table all angry and said: My boss says that he is going to leave the snack at 250, its original cost being 360, that is 110 lower in Córdobas, I did not mind paying it all since we had already consumed it, but the deal was horrible and the person in charge did not even appear to apologize, but that is the treatment that many of us the Natives receive because if that had happened to a foreigner they would apologize for thousand time but for being Native we always receive bad treatment and I speak for many because it is not the first and not the last time that something like this happens at picnic center. Wash and prepare your chicken well before serving, because also one of the pieces was just a bone covered in flour. And I will also add that they charged us 100 pesos for a large bottle of water when the updated price is clearly 70 Cordobas on their menu. Don't have nothing else to add, goodbye.

Amazing beach, terrible service

Best beach on the island and great beach bar/restaurant location. Unfortunately, the service is bad and the menu is expensive for what it is. However the Ceviche there was amazing and it was a good quite spot to just relax and unwind. All the need is a little training for the staff to be more friendly, lower the prices a little bit, and to add some cushions to the beach chairs.

Much better than arenas

Come here chat with the staff and enjoy much cheaper drinks and fare than the rudely staffed resort bar nextdoor. Volleyball net is a great bonus! The waiter even offered to leave on his bike and go buy us a volleyball so we could play.

The best beach on the island!

My partner and I frequented here a few times as the beach is simply the best and most breathtaking beach I have ever been to or seen in my life. The water is pristine and little fishes swim close by always! Beer is cheap, can't get anything better. Highly recommend!!!

Good restaurant at amazing beach

I’ve never been disappointed with my lunch at Picnic Center. It’s located on a beautiful beach, and you can stay there all day to enjoy drinks and food.

Great Ocean View Cheap Ice Cold Beer Nice Beach to use and the Staff has a Great Attitude compared to there Neighbor Next Store. They don’t charge you to use Beach. Excellent Food Reasonably Priced. Easy decision Areanas Beach Club or Picnic Center I would choose here every time.

In one word, terrible!

We wanted to eat something at the beach, so we choose this spot. However, it took more than an hour before the food was delivered. The food was cold, the fish with garlic, consisted of only pure garlic and cold rice and fries. Furthermore, the nachos that we ordered were only topped with cheese(all cold) and cold chicken. So it looked like the food had been standing in the kitchen to cool down before serving. So all in all, a very terrible mistake to come to this place. If I could give minus stars, I would definitely do so.
