I would rate their restaurant a 5 if the service was better. The director of Food and Beverage and the General Manager should look into training the staff. I ordered the onion soup. The server said she did not recommend it. It came out room...temperature and had to be sent back. She was agreeable and took the soup back. It came back much warmer but not hot. The soup did not taste as good as it did the last time i had the onion soup. She really did not understand the wine menu. I could not believe my eyes when are prime rib dinners were carried in the full length of your long dining room uncovered. From a health standpoint not safe and again the food was delivered cold. We decided to order 2 expresso coffees. Maybe it is an east of the Mississippi service but no sugar was offered or lemon peal. She complained that she had to go to the bar if we wonted the lemon. Without thinking we said yes, you gets it the coffee was cold when she returned. The prim rib was probably the best tasting roast beef I have ever tasted if this was a different class if restaurant I could maybe understand service but for the two of us you would think the service could have been better at a cost of $211.00. Upper management should require training and does the chef know how his food is mishandled when it leaves the kitchen.More

Our family planned to have a very special dinner at the Ahwahnee Dinning Room on a Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The ambience was beautiful. However the food was very disappointing. My wife ordered sea bass which was over cooked and very dry. I ordered scallops. I...received 3 scallops on top of a white sauce. Each scallop was about 1.5 inches in diameter. My meal did not include vegetables or mashed potatoes or baked potato. The scallops did not merit the price that was charged. For desert I ordered Chocolate tort. It was so hard I had to use my knife like a chisel to break it up into bite sized pieces. The busboy was excellent. The waiter was not friendly. He did not seem to care about our dining experience. We will never go back to the Ahwahnne Dinning Room again.More

So disappointed! If you like average wedding food this is your place. Had dinner on Sunday night and simply didn’t enjoy the experience. This place is suppose to be a legendary restaurant. The room is fantastic but it ends there. We had a waiter and...a busboy assigned to our table. But why were our appetizers dishes on the table when dinner was served, just lazy service. I never, and I mean never, do I send my food back. But I did tonight. Ordered the pork chop and it was all fat, under cooked and tasteless. They did take it off the bill but the fact that piece of meat was even served is a shame. No one is paying attention to the details. Aramark is garbage and has ruined this experience. Margins and profits are all that matter. They’ve ruined an institution!Bring you own food if you want to eat well in the park. I will never go back.More

The Ahwahnee dining room is a wonderful, grand place which you will want to experience. The food is pretty good but very expensive. Make reservations before you arrive at the hotel.

If you can, enjoy a very pleasant and tasty meal here. Menu is limited but does provide for tastes. It is pricey, but you need to treat yourself. Service was outstanding. Piano player was perfect. So happy we ate here.

We loved this restaurant 3 years ago. Sadly, it’s a faded rose of a restaurant, maintaining itself on prior experiences and its elegant dining space. The food is just so disappointing. We paid $220 for an underdone prime rib (ordered medium well and came out...medium rare and the baby potatoes were equally underdone … how can you undercook baby potatoes?!). My “local” sea bass was clearly not fresh and overdone, as were the asparagus spears. The only satisfactory part of the meal was the sourdough bread, for which we paid $12. We are paying high prices and don’t even get bread and butter unless paid for? Breaks my heart to give a bad review, but this was awful. Worse yet … the only steak that was on the menu as prime rib. No NY strip. No filet. Ugh. We are not coming back.More

The setting is gorgeous, in the iconic Ahwahnee Hotel. The service was excellent. The food was mediocre. My butternut squash soup needed some cream to tone it down. The vegan burger was given a B rating. My turkey sandwich was okay. We had expected great...food to match the setting.More

Breakfast manager with very irritating attitude, completely oblivious of good customer service manners especially with hotel guests…no wonder she is short of personnel…who would ever want to work for her? Go to the hotel bar instead, much nicer and friendly. Their egg bites are good...excellent.More

Set in a stunning 102 year old building, the restaurant itself is reminiscent of walking into an American version of Westminster Hall with El Capitan looming through the large central window. We each ordered from the vegetarian options which were delicious. Our wait staff was...highly attentive.More

Al those Presidents, and famous folk picked well to stay and settle-down to the dinnertable here. While my food was being prepared, I roamed the place, surrounded outdoors by Yosemite itself, and inside the walls and corridors are stacked like pancakes with great images, artwork...and memorabelia... The staff here is exceptional as well...More

Had lunch there on a visit and were very happy with the pleasant and cheerful staff. To be sure, it is not inexpensive, but the food was excellent and extremely filling. The windows added to the feeling of being at at first class place. Kudos

Wonderful escape to be able to drink cocktails, eat good food, and listen to a piano playing while in one of the most beautiful parks on earth. Husband was able to order the well-done end of prime rib, I had the bass, and we enjoyed...some sourdough bread. No room for desert for us although the menu had a few good choices for this if we’d had room. Food was good, made all the better by the relaxing environment and picturesque views out of the many large windows. This is a historic hotel, and you felt like you were some place special while dining there. Dress code differs from most Yosemite activities, men with collared shirts and slacks, ladies a casual dress and sandals. After eating there is plenty to walk around and see outside on or near the grounds. I made reservation on Open Table, we were staying in Curry Village and drove over, although Yosemite shuttle can get you there too. Food mentioned above plus one cocktail each and 20% tip was $175. Some selections for small kids. We ordered off of menu for dinner, no buffet style was present.More

They don't build rooms like this anymore. Absolutely gorgeous space with food and service to match. We both had the steak frites which was delicious. Also went for the breakfast buffet which was great. It's spendy but a worthwhile splurge in my opinion!

While obtaining a reservation for dinner while staying at the hotel was an absolute nightmare and needs to be fixed, the dining room as majestic and the service was as good as it gets anywhere ( very attentive and friendly wait staff). But, even more...so, the food was unbelievable, As good as I have had. The French onion soup was delicious. The prime rib was prepared, seasoned and cooked to perfection. And, the boysenberry pie with mixed berries was taken to go to eat in the room. It was the best piece of pie I have had in a long time. I was truly amazed at the entire dining experience.More

We ate here twice on 8/21/22. The service both times was excellent. The ambiance is great. The brunch was great. Lot's of choices and the food and baked goods were all well prepared. It comes with coffee, juice and tea. Alcoholic beverages cost extra. At...$56/per person I was skeptical but it was worth every dollar. Dinner was mixed. The cold watermelon soup was surprisingly good, the spinach salad was only OK. The sea bass was excellent and the peach cobbler was very good. We enjoyed both our meals and would eat here again.More
