We really enjoyed touring this 1840 Greek Revival mansion overlooking the Mississippi River. 5 acres of formal gardens, gazebos, fountains and courtyards. The mansion is furnished with many original antiques. You must see the Union cannonball still lodged in the parlor wall!

This restaurant no longer serves anything but breakfast. the breakfast is provided to guests and is very good. Great staff at this old restaurant. Cedar Grove, in general, is way past its prime. But staff is great. History of place is fascinating. Run down in...More

4course meal for 59.00 per person with 2 selection from each course. Our ravioli was lukewarm at best. Veges cold. Steak tough and chicken was tough. Wine was extra. Over priced.

We rarely post a 3-Star review, and have NEVER posted 1-star. The Cedar Grove is a beautiful property that has been allowed to “go to seed.” Infrastructure is crumbling, rooms are “fusty,” and the small, over-worked staff (we believe there were only two women working...More

5 of our group sent cups of cold gumbo back. Returned with tepid. No rice & did not have tasty roux as base. Crab cakes also cold.

Delicious food, great service, and wonderful atmosphere describes our lunch experience at Cedar Grove. I'm actually relieved that I didn't realize that the buffet would be our only option, because ordinarily that would have discouraged my visit. Our experience far exceeded my expectations. The value...More

We visited this place for lunch and really enjoyed it. Food was excellent (special: blackened catfish) and service was top notch. Wandered around the old house and it's so beautiful with period furniture. Off season, we pretty much had it to ourselves, and we truly...More

We just returned from dinner. We are just passing thru and wanted local flavor. We are history buffs and lament not having time to do all we'd like. Cedar Grove gave a brief taste of old Vicksburg. The grounds alone take you back in time...More

Dinner at Cedar Grove was phenomenal. The service was very gracious, and the only negative was that my room did not have a fridge...which was the end of my plan to eat their food again and again for the rest of the week.
