Been here several times and the quality of the food is consistent. Full meal for <$15 includes miso soup, appetizer veggies, hot tea and 2 choices of entrees. I had teriyaki chicken and tonkatsu. There's also a sushi counter. Get's quite crowded at noon.

The lunch specials have a variety and gives you more than other Japanese restaurant, it's worth for the price. Would go again or suggest to others

lunch special, dinner special, fast considerate and humble service. i would come here as a staple. The only real thing is I think the building itself might need a little fixing. The ceiling looks like it has been patched with Gorilla Glue, but aside from that, it was a great meal experience

This restaurant is tucked in the lot that is behind Diners Drive Inn. Old school Japanese Hawaii food. You can order sushi, or Ala carte, the best deals are the complete meals. Soup, salad, entree. It's not 4 star cooking, just comfort food. If you want to experience local food eat here. If you want 5 star at 5 star... More

Soup was disappointing; yakatori was superb. We enjoyed several sushi rolls but they were no more than average. Service was excellent and prices were in keeping with this type of meal.

Every so often we eat at Kikuya restaurant and the service is great. Friendly waitresses that refill your tea and water. Food is pretty tasty and reasonably priced. If you go early before 6:00 pm then it's okay, not too crowded, but if you go after that it's usually crowded. They also have a sushi bar which we haven't tried... More

Authentic Japanese food served by friendly Korean waitresses in a dodgy area. Good portion teishokus. Nice tempura. Big water cups. Not the highest quality of sashimi though. Affordable lunch spot, nothing to rave about.

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch at this local Japanese restaurant. Menu is primarily Japanese. Food was fresh and served on time by pleasant waitresses. Luncheon menu a very good value.

We just ate at Kikuya the other week and it's definitely gone downhill since it first opened. The prices are still better than Gyotaku but the amount of food you get and the quality are less. For example, a two choice dinner teishoku is around $15 to $16. Before you could choose the sashimi as one choice and you would... More
