This place is awesome. We visited in 2015 and when we were back last week we were so excited to dine there again. Really fun retro vibe and delicious diner style American food. Grilled cheese on sweet bread is a must. Staff are always really nice.

What a cool diner! There's music, movie and TV show memorabilia all over the place! Love Elvis? He's here. How about John Wayne or the Beatles? They have all that, too. They have a few TVs that show clips from classic shows like Happy Days or the Ed Sullivan Show. Very Fun! The food is diner delicious with a Hawaiian... More

This is a 1950's themed restaurant and soda fountain. All kinds of Elvis and Marilyn Monroe collectibles for sale. It is in the King's Village Shopping center. Three pin ball machines that can be played, old music from the 50's is played. Order your food as you walk in. Server is dressed in the style of the 50's servers. Food... More

We were let off a tour right across the street from the Rock Island Cafe, so walked over to check out the place. It really was like going back in time; we enjoyed looking at all the memorabilia displayed and for sale. We had what you would typically have at a diner, an all-beef hot dog with mustard, relish and... More

we had dinner here, the atmosphere they are going for is retro-diner and kind of neat. you have to order and pay ahead at the counter. I'm pretty sure our server was stoned as she acted very oddly and sort of stood at the table awkwardly without speaking like she couldn't remember what she was supposed to do. the food... More

It's a 50s diner. Lots of memorabilia . A lot of stuff for sale. So it's cool to check out. The food is typical of a 50s diner, burgers, malts, sundaes, etc. some of the things on the menu are a little pricey. If I remember right a banana split is like 10 bucks. But I liked the people and... More

My wife and I "discovered" the Rock Island Cafe by accident. The cafe is located inside the King's Village group of shops. I just saw some coke stuff and some old movie memorabilia through the window and just had to go inside. The place is like stepping back into the 50's and 60's. It is decked out with old movie... The Rock Island Cafe is my favourite place to visit when on Oahu! Our hotel is minutes away from here & we never knew it was here until we stumbled across Kings Village where the cafe is. When you walk in for the 1st time it's like going back in time..the decor, memorabilia & even the "Dinettes" dress like there... More

We saw the statue of Elvis outside, and we thought that we would give it a try. The Rock Island Cafe is a great recreation of a 50's or 60's diner. And there is plenty of memorabilia, some even for purchase. The burgers are outstanding, but be sure to get a chocolate shake or malt. Then wash it down with... More
